A Sunday well spent at @yogaonlex ☀️

For our second Urban Journey Reset, we brought our community to a new yoga studio on the Upper East Side for an afternoon dedicated to slowing down and making space for ourselves.

Each Reset and stop on the ‘Urban Journey’ is an opportunity to discover places, practices, and wellness finds worth knowing about, and to explore how they can become part of daily routines.

For Urban Journey Reset 002, guests took home thoughtfully selected products from @somaewell and @jaybeauty and one lucky attendee won a one-hour massage from @pressmassage

Thank you to @yogaonlex @carli.geller , our partners, and everyone who joined us.

Where should we discover next? Sign up at the link in our bio to stay tuned!

I love working 1:1 with my clients because it’s SO AMAZING to see their progress! 💥

I’m so impressed with Gabi. When she started with private yoga, she had a lot of tension in her shoulders and stiffness in her practice. She was ready to dive in and build strength while learning tools she could use to regulate her nervous system. She is a founder and incredible photographer (check my headshots! and her work @gabidesphoto ), always on her feet, and go-go-go from one client to the next.

In her words, not mine “these 1:1 sessions have helped me slow down, ground myself, and actually be present in the moment. I’ve only ever done group classes, but I genuinely only see myself going private from here on out. You can’t beat the personalization of a 1:1 session.”

And in mine: Gabi’s dedication reminds me why I left corporate in the first place. It lights me up to see my clients advancing their practice, flowing and getting stronger, and feeling more at peace in their minds and bodies. Thank you Gabi, for trusting me and leaning in with an open heart ❤️‍🔥

DM me to learn more about 1:1 sessions or visit the link in my bio!

📍@yogaonlex - check out this new not hot yoga studio on the upper east side! DM me for my guest pass for group classes on Tuesdays at 8am and Wednesdays + Fridays at 9:30am

“When we change our breath, we change how we feel..”

Align With: Jean Koerner @jeankoerneryoga

Founder · @yogaonlex · Upper East Side

Jean Koerner’s relationship with yoga began in the 1980s, while recovering from back surgery. Since then, she’s spent years teaching across NYC, training more than 1,000 yoga teachers & helping students discover that yoga is about so much more than what happens on the mat.

Now, with Yoga on Lex, she’s bringing that experience back to her own neighborhood - creating an independent, welcoming space where people can practice, connect & make time for themselves.

For this edition of Align With, I asked Jean about getting started with yoga, the biggest myth she wishes she could bust & one small practice we can all try today to feel a little better.

Because sometimes, a reset starts with something small.

One of my favorite ways to bring awareness to my breath is through CHAKRA BREATHING! It helps me visualize sending my breath to different energy points in the body, which helps to clear stagnant energy from the central channel so that life force energy (prana) can flow freely. I fell in love with this type of breathwork through my teacher, @tonylupinacci ✨🩵

Try it out and let me know what you think 🙃

@yogaonlex is a new independent, non-hot studio on the Upper East Side, intentionally intimate and designed to help you slow down and reconnect. 🧘‍♀️

🙏🏽 From vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga to meditation and sound baths, there are plenty of ways to find a practice that feels right for you.

#yoga #yogainnyc #yogaonlex #uesyoga

It was exactly the space I was looking for when planning Reset 002: warm, cozy, and grounding.

✅ Be sure to add this to your NYC wellness hit list!

Meet the founder of Yoga on Lex ✨

Jean Koerner is a longtime NYC yoga teacher, and @yogaonlex is her latest chapter: an independent studio built around movement, stillness and community.

I sat down with Jean to talk all things yoga, from tips for first-timers to small ways to create a reset in everyday life. Her conversation is coming soon!

SAVE this for your next class and send this to your yoga buddy.

A little skincare, a little self-care, and a whole lot of fun! ✨💆‍♀️💕

This weekend, I stopped by @yogaonlex for a fabulous event with the Upper East Side team from Kiehl’s @kiehlsues From skin analysis and mini facials to learning about new products and taking home some goodies, it was the perfect afternoon of pampering!

With the colder months coming, it’s time to give our skin some extra love! 💕

Be sure to check out Kiehl’s on 64th & Lex and Yoga on Lex on between 71st and 72nd, one of my favorite UES spots!
