For the last few weeks, work and study have been really busy and I have let go of my regular yoga practice. This was not my intention but unfortunately time was getting away from me and I fell back in to old haibts.

Jean @yogaspaceperth talks about the benefits of embedding yoga into your daily life and I 100% agree with her comments. Having only stepped away from my practice for a few weeks, I have noticed the difference in myself, including having a panic attack over the weekend which I have not experienced for almost 6 months. This is a good reminder for me, I need to always put my health first! 🧘‍♀️🌱😃

This flower is a Hippeastrum that recently opened in our garden. These flowers bring me fond memories of my parent's garden. It was a flower my Dad loved.

Sometimes its the little glimmers in a day that make a harder day a little more bearable. 🌟🌸

A great yoga practice this morning with Jean and Lauren (@yogaspaceperth) on inversions and backbends! I have never been a fan of going upside down (its a fear I have) but today managed an assisted backbend and handstand preparation! Thanks to Jean, Lauren and Cat for helping me 💕🙏🏻

Ready for Healing Hatha with Kerry (@yogaspaceperth)!

I can't get into the studio during the week, so the option of online yoga is fantastic!! 🧘‍♀️

Meet Wilo and Wimi. 🐒

They planned a complete life transformation.
Their alarm had other plans.

Because wellbeing doesn’t have to begin with a perfect Monday—or at 5 AM. Sometimes it begins with a ten-minute walk to coffee. ☕️

Which one are you: Wilo or Wimi? Tag your wellness bestie.

This week has been challenging for many reasons. I'm reflecting on what gives me resilience in these times. Spending time in nature (photo of a snail orchid from last weekend's trip out and about), time with loved ones, time for myself and yoga are my go to's.

During my yoga class tonight, Kerry (@yogaspaceperth) spoke of yoga not being a quick fix but a journey you go on. This resonated with me for a few reasons. I know that I usually go looking for a quick fix to challenges, I want to be back on my way again with little effort and the idea of a journey sounds like a lot of hard work when I am stretched for time. Since I have started a more regular yoga practice, I have seen small changes in how I handle challenging situations. I have also noticed that yoga, coupled with good sleep and good food is even better.

This work week I have done a yoga class every day, I have made time for me, even when I could only do 30 mins. I set an intention at the beginning of the week to prioritise my well being and on reflection of my week it has definitely helped. As I write this I know that I am now on a yoga journey, I don't know what the end of my journey will look like but I am loving learning more about myself 🙏🏻🧘‍♀️.
