best brown ribbon ever!!!

rory jane, thank you for finding your way back home. i have loved you since that chilly fall day at the Robertson Equine Sale in 2017 and you give me countless reasons everyday to love you more. you are such a beautiful, charismatic, intelligent, hard working, social butterfly i cherish the time we have together. you gave me my first ribbon at the World’s Championship Horse Show on horseback and i am forever grateful for your unwavering support in this crazy sport. while we didn’t add any letters to your name officially, we did leave with a JC! you truly are the best thing that has ever happened to me and i cannot wait to watch your story unfold as you age like fine wine. i am truly blessed and forever grateful to be your final owner. i promise to give you the best life imaginable with endless popsicles, Veuve Clicquot, plenty of sparkles and babies to carry on your decorated legacy.

momma, a simple ‘thank you’ doesn’t come close to my appreciation for you. i wake up everyday blessed to call you my mom. you have looked adversity in the eye and literally laughed out loud. your smile is so freaking contagious, you light up my world. you never cease to amaze me with your ability to get shit done no matter the amount of hurtles you have to jump. i am forever grateful for you tenacity when i called you crying bc rory was for sale again. there simply is no mountain high enough that we cannot climb, together. i love the way you love rory. i love the way you are authentically yourself. i love the grace you carry with you. i love how much love you have to give. i love your unwavering support in every crazy idea i have. keep doing you, because remember; it’s fine, everything is fine.

to rory’s veterinarians, chiropractors, communicators, farrier, fan club and barn family; you freaking rock. neither her or i are easy to deal with and you have managed to make the impossible, possible without hesitation. you have seen the vision and supported in multifaceted ways. your support does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. it truly takes a village and i am lucky to have you apart of mine!

that’s a wrap on WCHS 2024, time to make babies!
