Many of you may already know that earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to go play guitar with gentlemen in @finger_eleven ⚡️
.
Not only did they make me feel like we had been friends for ages, but they made me fall in love with their songs and their incredible energy ❤️
.
It was an honor to play “Last Night On Earth” each night and the sound of Scott’s voice on this song will ring in my head for the rest of my life.
.
Hope you enjoy this and then go purchase their entire new album today!

Couldn’t help myself to throw my name in the hat for @finger_eleven’s #F11LastNightDuet challenge.

Absolutely love this band one of Canada’s greatest gem’s! 🌏

PS: Sorry @rickjackett and @yojimboblack I am a drummer doing my best to rock the guitar. Not sure if drums and acapella would have worked though 😆

Two more huge influences on my guitar playing are Rick Jackett and James Black. I have seen them live more times than I can count and even met them multiple times. Incredible musicians and even better people. My favorite Rick and James riffs! 🤘

October 12th - Finger Eleven. Releasing one album under the name Rainbow Butt Monkeys, they changed their name to Finger Eleven for their follow up album "Tip". "Above" was their first video after the name change thag I remember and was completely sold! One of Canada's heavier rock bands but they can also put out banger ballads like "One Thing". I've been lucky enough to have seen these guys live on more than one occasion and the thing I remember the most is Rick Jackett just throwing that guitar around, spinning it around his body over and over, playing while holding the guitar in one hand because the strap couldn't handle the abuse anymore😂. They're still doing their thing and releasing new music, go see them live!!

Songs to check out:

As Rainbow Butt Monkey
-Circles

As Finger Eleven
-Above
-Tip
-Dtag You Down
-First Time
-One Thing

Today I'm starting off with the homegrown talent @finger_eleven

There's been so much to be thankful for this year, and can't wait to see these guys again soon!

Here is my submission for the #f11lastnightduet

I absolutely love this song and had to give it a go.
Thank you, @finger_eleven ❤️❤️

I decided to do a mixture of harmony, doubling, and more of a call and response type thing with Scott.
I was originally intending on maybe doing an octave up on that last bridge, but I felt like it took away from the song. So instead I added some higher background vocal to fill in space.

I hope we all like it😊

Also I think that high A note might be my limit🫣

I haven't done anything really music related that used my power in my voice since my vocal surgery. #F11LastNightDuet is looking for someone so I figured I would give it a go. Thanks to my son for recording this for me. @finger_11 hope you see this and maybe even like it. This song spoke to my soul.
