USPA NW Regionals Battle at the Peak recap:

825 kgs/1818.8 lbs total (+42.5 kgs meet PR and added to the junior state record set by myself)
475 DOTS (+21 meet PR)

302.5/667 squat (+20 kgs meet PR) - really good all things considered
172.5/380 bench (+7.5 kgs meet PR) - failed 185 bench due to bad brace
350/771 deadlift (+15 kgs meet PR) -🥇USPA junior Colorado deadlift and🥈all time USPA junior deadlift in the 275 lbs weight class

2 weeks before this meet, I had to get stitches in my hand due to a crush injury that I sustained, and was told by the doctor I wouldn’t be able to use a barbell for two weeks. This really sucked mentally and physically as this completely ruined my prep… or so I thought.

Fast forward 6 days, stitches in hand, I decided to see if I could do my scheduled bench press, which was 385 lbs… I smoked it with hand still in tact.

As a result of this, my coach @itsvenyoki was able to salvage this prep to the best of what was possible given the circumstances. I’m extremely grateful that I was able to still come away with the junior best lifter award, the junior state record total, and the junior state record deadlift because of this.

With all this being said, it makes me think what we could have totaled with a perfect prep had I actually used spotters that day. However, hindsight is always 2020, and all we can do is look to the future to not make the same mistakes.

As I walk into the open powerlifting stage and say goodbye to juniors, my sights are set on a 2,000+ lbs total as a drug free lifter😤💪🏻 Stay tuned!
