🏁 DLD Replacement 🏁

Symptoms that are seemingly becoming more and more common are “ Sudden No Start“, “Rough Idle”, and “Engine Misfire” issues. There could be several causes, but we have found that the DLD (Drive Line Damper) could be the source. This part not only dampens the engine while it’s running, but also is what the Crank Sensor uses to determine the rotational speed of the engine to enable starting, and engine firing order. Because of the age of older Mclaren models like 12c, 650s, 675LT, 570s, and 600LT’s, this could be something that can suddenly cause you inconvenience.

🏁 Refillable Accumulators 🏁

A common issue known across Mclaren cars are the infamous “accumulators” that normally need to be replaced every few years. Inside these accumulators there is a diaphragm that separates pressurised fluid from Nitrogen Gas. These act like “shock absorbers” for the hydraulic circuit and even out the pressure across the vehicle. This directly affects the way the vehicle rides dependant on the drive mode selected. As they start to fail the car will start to ride harder, and have faults like “Suspension Degradation” appear on the dashboard.

At V-Eng we wanted to bring a fully serviceable solution to Mclaren customers, and through our partnerships we have created our own special design that is now available and can be used on all Mclaren Models with the proactive chassis system.
