Maggie’s List is proud to once again endorse Rep. Young Kim for California’s 40th Congressional District.

An immigrant, small business owner and former California assemblywoman, Rep. Kim made history as one of the first Korean American women elected to Congress.

Since arriving in Washington, she has built a record focused on economic opportunity, national security and finding bipartisan solutions. Maggie’s List has supported Rep. Kim through multiple election cycles as she has continued representing communities across Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

Today, Rep. Kim serves on the House Foreign Affairs and Financial Services Committees and chairs the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on East Asia and the Pacific. She also serves on the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party.

Maggie’s List is proud to continue supporting Rep. Kim as she seeks another term representing California’s 40th District.

Why Campaigns Spend Millions... Yet Still Lose Close Elections

In competitive races, moving just 3% to 5% of disengaged or persuadable voters can trigger a game-changing swing in the final margins at the ballot box - more than enough to decide the outcome.

Yet every election cycle, campaigns burn enormous budgets on candidate-centric boasting, dry legislative jargon, and mass mailers - only to fall short by a few hundred votes.

The reason? Most campaigns amplify the wrong core message.

Nine of California's fifty-two representatives have not signed the discharge petition for the Major Richard Star Act. Swipe and find yours.

A veteran medically retired for combat wounds has their retirement pay cut dollar for dollar by the disability compensation they earned in the same war. They are paying for their own injuries. The Star Act ends that.

The petition needs 218 signatures to force a floor vote. Signing is not a vote for the bill. It is a vote to let the House decide.

Find your district, call the number on the card, and ask them to sign.
