POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Released on May 10, 2024, “Almighty So 2” is the fifth studio album from Chicago rapper Chief Keef (@chieffkeeffsossa) 🙏🏾
Released on 43B (@43b_thelabel), “Almighty So 2” was the follow-up to the 2021 album “4NEM”, as well as the sequel to the 2013 mixtape “Almighty So”. Having founded the 43B label in 2022 through a partnership with RBC Records and BMG Rights Management, Sosa went on to release the collaborative project titled “DIRTY NACHOS” alongside producer Mike WiLL Made-It (@mikewillmadeit) the following year. Having originally announced the follow-up to the “Almighty So” mixtape titled “Almighty So 2” back in 2018, the highly anticipated project continued to suffer delays despite numerous attempts to drop it between 2019 and 2023. Releasing the lead single ‘Tony Montana Flow’ in 2022, Chief Keef finally unveiled the final track listing in May of 2024, just days before the album’s official release. Including the aforementioned ‘Tony Montana Flow’, as well as the new single ‘Drifting Away’, “Almighty So 2” finally saw its long-awaited release on May 10, 2024. Production on the album was handled primarily by Chief Keef himself, with additional contribution from Mike WiLL Made-It, Akachi (@akachiglo), and others. Guest features include Tierra Whack (@tierrawhack), Sexyy Red (@sexyyred), Quavo (@quavohuncho), G Herbo (@nolimitherbo), Ballout (@ballout), and Lil Gnar (@lilgnar) 🙏🏾
Sosa, man, what the f*ck was going on with you, bro? We were waiting on this “Almighty So 2” for a minute now, man. You say you gon’ drop it, then you don’t drop it. Then you say you gon’ drop it again, then you don’ drop it 🙏🏾

A lot of good music this week. Whole Chief Keef album was gas, there was only one actual song I didn’t add to the playlist. Been waiting for this to drop for so long, I remember I didn’t even really checkout the Dirty Nachos tape cus I was so disappointed he didn’t drop this one instead. He self-produced almost every track on here and it shows. Super clean and polished vocals. Features were a little weak imo but this will be on repeat all year. The stuff on Shed Theory’s last album was good, but it was definitely more experimental compared to this new track. 3 new Burberryhummer singles. Been waiting on these to drop on Apple Music all week. Angel Wings is probably one of my favorites by him now. Mexikodro dropped a tape for Cinco de Mayo. Pretty fire. His production is crazy, but I need more rapping stuff from him fr cus his sound is definitely more unique. Poundside Pop dropped an Ep. Been a while since I heard from him. One of my favorite artists of 2019-2020. He needa drop some more, this was cool vibes. This was my favorite track, honorable mention to “CHA MOON ROCK”. He’s from Philly so he got a pretty unique sound he also draws a lot of inspiration from Trippie Redd. Rx Papi back with ANOTHER single. Really the most consistent in the game I can’t say it enough, he just dropped a tape last month and he’s been dropping almost every week since. This one on some more auto tune vibes but I fw all of his flows honestly. Tape from Baby Money. Another artist I’ve been fw for a minute, I wanna say like 2021. Not my favorite piece of work from him so far, that would probably be his last album imo, but this was still pretty solid. A few tracks I really enjoyed, I gotta finish listening to the rest of it still. This and “Notha Level” ft G.T. were my favorite songs on here. Lastly we got a single from Middman, an artist I found somewhat recently from a friend. Definitely someone to keep an eye out for. I think he’s locked in with ICYTWAT if i’m not mistaken. I see him possibly making some big waves. @mexikodro “De Mayo” recorded and mixed by @prodbyess . The JDN tracks “Angel Wings” and “I Be High” are both produced by @egofriendly1

ANTICIPATION

Rumoured since 2018, releasing single ‘Tony Montana Flow’ (fire btw) in 2022 and now finally more than 5,5 years later we got ‘Almighty So 2’. A new legendary album in the @chieffkeeffsossa. In his @zanelowe interview the other day, we first heard him speak that much in a long time. He sounds mature and that’s what the project sounds like too. Rapping and producing himself, longer and finished tracks, skits, interesting features. @tierrawhack went off. It’s truly a new step in Sosa’s career and in drill. This is a must listen!
