📚 That’s a wrap on our first AT Book Club!

This summer, more than 100 athletic trainers from across the country signed up to join us as we read The 6 Types of Working Genius and explored how our strengths, frustrations, and different ways of working shape the way we show up individually and as part of a team.

Over four weeks, we reflected, shared perspectives, learned from one another, and wrapped things up with a live gathering to bring the conversation together.

Whether you joined us on the discussion boards, connected with us live, or simply read and reflected along the way, thank you for being part of our first AT Book Club!

On behalf of the NATA Connection & Engagement Committee, we loved learning and growing alongside ATs from different settings and career stages.
We’re gathering feedback, reflecting on this first experience, and starting to think about what will come next.

Stay tuned! 👀📖

This is a strong resource for all ATs when looking into compensation and career navigation. By the way this is not free, yet accessible to both mombers and non-members as well as other professions: A rising tide lifts all boats. #@nata_epc @rmatad7_eep @nata_cac @nmsu_hest @nmsuata #selfawareness #AthleticTraining

HUMBLED.

This past week, I was invited back to my alma mater, ATSU, for my third Winter Institute as Adjunct Faculty in the Doctor of Athletic Training program. Each year I arrive in a teaching role, yet I leave having learned just as much.

There is something about returning to the place that helped shape you that reflects your growth back to you. Each year, I feel more grounded. More rooted. More willing to step fully into my voice and my purpose.

ATSU gave me more than an education. It gave me a community, a tribe that reminds me that we are not meant to do this work alone. We speak often about stepping into the world as innovators, about challenging systems, and about trusting the perspective we each uniquely carry.

This experience continues to remind me that we all have something to offer. Power doesn’t arrive all at once. It builds quietly, through experience, reflection, and the courage to keep showing up.

Grateful to continue learning, teaching, and growing alongside this profession. 🙏🏻🎓✨
