ART-VR CHARITY BALL🧸

Last weekend, a group of MASUAS students continued our charity efforts by helping out at the Art-VR charity ball. The ball raised money for @bearforce10 and Manchester Children's Hospital. Our students handed out auction prizes, sold raffle tickets, and helped everyone get in the masquerade mood by giving out masks.

A truly wonderful and humbling evening @hiltonmanchester raising money for four charities @destinationfloridacharity @henshaws_uk @derianhousechildrenshospice and @caftcharity. Thanks to @hymansonmike for trusting me to create an original piece of art for this event which was auctioned live on the night and sold to a bidder for £2250.
A special mention to my friend @darrenproctordp who said some very kind words about my previous work and this one and who held the room together throughout and enabled the auction and evening to run like clockwork.

This painting is oil on canvas and mixed-media collage and a homage to Audrey Hepburn which I cheekily entitled Audrey Hepburn-age as a nod to Burnage in Manchester and the background is full of digital nods to our great city and pictures her in an @adidasoriginals tracksuit top.

It’s truly humbling to know what a difference my artwork has made to so many lives and last night was another beautiful feather in my cap as four children’s charities will benefit from the sale of my work.

I have now raised an astonishing £167K for local charities and community projects and I will never take the response to my artwork for granted and I’ll continue to create and support those that need it most. Art is my life and changing lives and making a difference is a value we should all pursue each day as you never know what anyone is going through. One love xx
