RETINOL: IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU? One of the most talked-about ingredients in skincare, but also one of the most misunderstood! Retinol is a powerful form of vitamin A that helps improve: ✨ Fine lines & wrinkles ✨ Uneven skin tone & pigmentation ✨ Skin texture & visible pores ✨ Acne & congestion ✨ Signs of sun damage But here’s what I want you to understand as your aesthetician: NOT ALL RETINOLS ARE THE SAME! At PodSpa, we carry different retinol formulations from SkinCeuticals and PCA SKIN because everyone’s skin has different needs. 🤍 New to retinol? SkinCeuticals 0.3 may be your starting point. 🤍 Ready for more? SkinCeuticals 0.5 or 1.0 may be appropriate depending on your skin’s tolerance. 🤍 Concerned with aging? PCA SKIN Intensive Age Refining Treatment targets fine lines, wrinkles, and skin firmness. 🤍 Struggling with pigmentation? PCA SKIN Intensive Brightening Treatment focuses on discoloration and uneven tone. Remember: stronger doesn’t always mean better. The right retinol, used correctly and consistently, can make a beautiful difference in your skin. DM your provider or ask at your next appointment to find the right retinol for you! #retinol #retinol101 #skincaretips

YOUR YUMI LASH LIFT LOOKED BEAUTIFUL… SO WHY DID IT DROP? You left your appointment with beautifully lifted lashes, but just a few days later, the curl seems to have relaxed. Why? A YUMI Lash Lift is designed to enhance your natural lashes, with results typically lasting 6–8 weeks. However, several factors can affect the outcome, and it’s not always about aftercare! WHY YOUR LASH LIFT MAY NOT HAVE LASTED: • Lash Texture: Fine, coarse, or resistant lashes may respond differently to the lifting process. • Natural Lash Health: Previously damaged, overprocessed, or weakened lashes may not hold a lift as expected. • Your Lash Growth Cycle: As your natural lashes shed and new lashes grow in, the appearance of your lift gradually changes. • Aftercare: Excessive rubbing, harsh cleansing, and improper product use can affect the appearance and condition of your lifted lashes. THE DO’S & DON’TS/ DO: ✔️ Follow your lash artist’s aftercare recommendations. ✔️ Gently brush your lashes daily. ✔️ Keep your lashes healthy and conditioned. ✔️ Cleanse your eye area gently. ✔️ Communicate with your lash artist if your results change unexpectedly. DON’T: ✖️ Rub or pull on your lashes. ✖️ Use a mechanical lash curler. ✖️ Use harsh products or aggressively remove eye makeup. ✖️ Attempt to redo your lift at home. If your lash lift drops within the first few days, it does NOT automatically mean you did something wrong! While proper aftercare matters, the success of a lash lift also depends on the treatment itself, your individual lash characteristics, and how your lashes respond to the lifting solution. A great lash lift is a combination of professional technique, healthy natural lashes, and proper home care. At Pod Spa, we believe in educating our clients, setting realistic expectations, and standing behind the quality of our treatments. #yumilashlift #lashperm

LET’S TALK ABOUT PIH ✨ Dark spots after laser hair removal? Here’s what you should know. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is a skin response that can occur following laser hair removal when inflammation triggers excess melanin production. While it can be frustrating, the good news is that many cases gradually improve with time and proper care. THE DO’S ✓ ☀️ Protect your skin with SPF 30+ 💧 Keep your skincare gentle and hydrating 🤍 Give your skin time to heal ✨ Consult your provider for personalized guidance THE DON’TS ✕ ✕ Don’t pick, scrub, or over-exfoliate ✕ Don’t use harsh active ingredients on irritated skin ✕ Don’t tan or expose the area to unnecessary heat ✕ Don’t rush into additional laser treatments HOW LONG WILL IT LAST? Some cases improve within a few months, while others may take 6–12 months or longer to fade. Every skin type and healing journey is different. Remember: Healthy skin is always the priority. The right treatment, proper aftercare, and patience make all the difference. Beautiful skin isn’t rushed. It’s cared for. #LaserHairRemoval #Hyperpigmentation #PIH #SkinEducation
