It’s a proud day for our team.

Restaurant Constance has earned a place on the Recommended List in the 2026 @michelinguide Guide American South for the second year in a row and @chefsamdiminich has been named one of MICHELIN Guide’s Mindful Voices, an initiative recognizing the people shaping new approaches to gastronomy, hospitality and wine.

We opened our doors in 2023 with a simple guiding principle: great food begins with people. Starting with the farmers and partners who inspire every menu we create, to our team that is constantly raising the bar for excellence, and each guest who joins us for a meal. Every person played a part in this journey.

We didn’t get into this business for recognition, but this year’s honors solidify that putting people first and making great food can co-exist in the food and beverage space, and we’re incredibly proud of that.

To our farmers and partners, team, guests, and Charlotte community, thank you for always showing up. We’ll continue to make you proud!

⭐ CHARLOTTE SHINES IN THE 2026 MICHELIN GUIDE: The Queen City had a big night at the Michelin Guide American South ceremony in Nashville — with one star retained, a couple of special awards and a fresh batch of recommended restaurants.

Counter- (@counterclt) held onto its Michelin Star for the second year.

The Story of Mi Cariño (@micarinoclt) had a landmark evening — chef Hector Gonzalez-Mora took home the 2026 Michelin Young Chef Award, and the South End gastro-cantina was also named North Carolina's newest Bib Gourmand. Lang Van retained its Bib Gourmand for another year.

Newcomers to the guide as recommended restaurants include: Spaghett (@restaurantspaghett), Pump Social (@pumpsocialnc), Albertine (@albertinerestaurant) and L'Ostrica (@lostrica_clt).

And will always believe the most important meals we serve are not found in our restaurants or in our event spaces but in places that inhabit folks facing the greatest challenges of their lives. Grief, eating disorders, PTSD, depression, substance abuse.
I have first hand experience with a few and know how carefully curated meals can be a spoke in the wheel of healing.
This week we got to help celebrate 10 years of Hopeway - a pillar of change here in Charlotte.

We need each other more than ever - food will always unite us - grateful to have a voice in this ongoing conversation. Food is medicine ⚡️

Tonight’s the night we celebrate Shipley Farms at Grey’s Diner! I’m excited to welcome my good friend Andres Kaifer of Customshop and Emmy Lou’s for an evening centered around great food, great ingredients, and the people behind them.

Great food starts with great ingredients, and we’re looking forward to sharing a special menu that celebrates the quality and hard work of our local producers.

We’re officially SOLD OUT! Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and will be joining us tonight. We’re grateful for the support and can’t wait to break bread together.

One of my favorite parts of opening Grey’s Diner is getting to provide hospitality to folks experiencing their first meal of the day.

There’s something almost spiritual about it—the aroma of coffee brewing, bacon sizzling, the kitchen waking up, and the world slowly coming to life around you.

Breakfast has always felt like more than just a meal to me. It’s a chance to start over. To gather. To be taken care of, even if just for a few minutes.

And then there are these biscuits our pastry team makes.

Well… those are spiritual too

It’s amazing to see what unbelievable things the Charlotte community has accomplished to help raise funds to find new and less toxic treatments for kids fighting cancer. Tomorrow night’s chef event will be one for the record books! Featuring not only the top Chefs from some of the best restaurants in Charlotte but also the Chefs from Bravos TOP CHEF Charlotte! This Saturday, we’re welcoming back our friend Chef Sam Diminich of Grey’s Diner and Restaurant Constance for a morning of good food, local ingredients, and a little kitchen inspiration!

Sam is a longtime champion of our farmers market and the farmers, makers, and small businesses who make our local food community so special. He knows that the best cooking starts with great ingredients, and lucky for us, he knows exactly where to find them. 😉🌽🍎🥕
