Wow, my first time attending Romantasy BookCon @fabledfantasyevents will forever be one for the books!! What an incredibly fun weekend full with laughs, hugs, friends, incredible authors and vendors and ALL the books of course!! I got to meet the Queen of banter herself @authorjennyhickman who has written one of my fav books of all time, A Cursed Kiss (that audio book though!!! 🔥🎧) speaking of audio books I snagged @yourpinstory ‘s “we listen and we don’t judge” pin SO fast. How cute and SO TRUE! Audio books count as reading, I said what I said. 💁‍♀️ I did miss meeting @catyrogan which made me SO sad BUT I’m looking forward to seeing her next year at Romantasy con Edinburgh where I will be attending as a Vendor!! I also have to shout out @thenewromanticsbooks for their incredible event they had as well on Thursday night, the author panel was such a hoot!!! 📖 I’m so thankful I got to see the lovely @gretchenwritesbooks again , who recently released Shadow & Son , the third and final book in her Shattered Crown trilogy, congrats again Gretchen!!! 🥹🥳📖 Romantasy Bookcon Orlando 2026

Length: 5 hours 57 minutes

🩸I am not the biggest audiobook girlie despite trying my best to get into them, but WOW this was by far one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever listened to! The narration by Jonathan Bailey (Dracula), Ella Purnell (Mina), Aimee Lou Wood (Lucy), Louis Partridge (Jonathan) and more was PHENOMENAL!!!

🩸At around 6 hours, it’s short enough to keep my limited attention span (lol) but long enough to make me fully be invested and immersed in the story. Whether you love audiobooks or rarely pick them up, I would HIGHLY recommend you give this one a shot.

❔What kind of books do you lean toward the most in autumn? Horror? Dark academia? Cozy mysteries? Paranormal romance❔

Happy Monday babes ❤️‍🔥

I finished several books this past weekend but I’ve been waiting on writing their reviews because I felt like I just needed some time to process my feelings on them 😅

❔Do you write reviews immediately after finishing a book or do you wait❔If you don’t write reviews, do you track your books read in any way (journal, Goodreads, Storygraph, etc.)❔

🦇 I think I was possessed yesterday because I saw a miscellaneous piece of wood 4ft. x 2ft. and thought well I can certainly paint that (I am not a painter LOL) and I spent 8 HOURS painting Dracula’s castle on it… so now I am suffering from lack of sleep at work 😂

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌲Hello, yes? This is my official application for Entity after reading this book. For the Research and Cataloging team of course (DO NOT put me in the wilderness I beg of you)!

🌲 (𝘔𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘺) 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸-𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬-𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘺𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 . . . 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬.

❔If you worked for Entity (a company that researches, tracks, catalogues, and handles cryptids) what department would you be in: Human Resources, Research & Cataloging, Wardens (on the ground trackers), or Reapers (imagine they’re like John Wick for cryptids)❔

🌲This was such a funny, paranormal, and emotional book all wrapped into one. I LOVED both our main characters, Alexys and Nic. I related so much to Alexys and how she kept trying to do what she thought was the right thing even if it kept going terribly wrong. Like girl, WHY would you go into the forest where you KNOW paranormal creatures are without ANY plan or supplies? I also really loved Nic and his whole know-it-all but somehow incredibly charismatic and insufferable-in-the-hottest-way-possible personality.

🌲The horror was more unsettling and gory than I expected, but in the best way possible. The interactions with the haunt and jackalopes had me genuinely tense while reading.

🔗Full reviews on Goodreads & Storygraph linked in my bio!

🪾Before you ask why Dean & Cas are in these pics, this book gave me Supernatural vibes of them hunting creatures in the forest (and I had to use Cas instead of Sam bc this is a romance! DUH!)

Overall: I LOOOOVED THIS BOOK!!!
