🖤 One week out, and the thing I keep coming back to is the crew.

A gala looks like candlelight with magic and awe. It is actually a 7:00 AM load-in, a room full of people in black, a headset conversation nobody in the audience will ever hear, and a hundred small decisions made in the dark so that one candle can land at exactly the right moment. ✨

To everyone who built YES! 40 YEARS OF MAGIC for @YouthEmergingStronger at Avalon - Hollywood, THANK YOU. You are the reason it looked effortless.

🎩 Mira, Sloane, Zion, Travis, Nicolas, Duncan, Taylor, Sophia and more of Team CIP. Tim, Rhonda, Jesus, Stephen, and the team at Jones Lighting. Natalie and Robert at Jekyll Works. Peter at Otero, Inc, Jason. Jake. @DJRayRhodes. @TriggWatson and his team. And Leslie, Kiana, and the house crew at @AvalonHollywood, who have seen every kind of night since 1927 and still made ours feel like the first.

🕯️ One spark, and a whole room full of light. The YES 40 Years of Magic! Gala was a huge success! ✨

What an honor to return for the fourth time to produce this gala for @YouthEmergingStronger, working together to bring unhoused youth off the streets and into their full potential. 💛

🙏 Thank you to everyone who helped bring the evening to life, to every generous donor, to our silent auction and digital tribute sponsors, and of course to our Key of Hope Award honorees, the Karisma Foundation and Wendy Chang of the Dwight Stuart Youth Fund.

🎥 Thank you as well to the remarkable individuals featured in this recap, including special guest, our Youth Voice Justin Wright, Kenneth Cook, Director of Programs at YES!, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath.

🎩 With deep gratitude to the team at YES!, Mark Supper, President and CEO; Diana Buckhantz, Board Chair; Rhys Atkinson-Whipps, Development Manager; and Peter Otero and Hope Biller, Event Committee.

To Magician @TriggWatson and @DJRayRhodes. To Team CIP, Jones Lighting, Jason Cohen, Jake Simpson, Jekyll Works and Otero, Inc. for the special event decor. And to Leslie Simmons and her wonderful staff at the world famous @AvalonHollywood, a Hollywood landmark since 1927.

👉 Forty years of this work takes more than one night. Head to @YouthEmergingStronger to donate, volunteer or become a mentor.

Yes (Youth Emerging Stronger) is a wonderful organization I am truly honored to have collaborated with for many years.
With Mark Supper at the helm, alongside the amazing board members and dedicated staff, together they fulfill an enormous role in the positive development of the many young lives they impact support and reinforce.
I am proud to lend my continued support to their mission.

It all starts with a concept- a creative vision intentionally unconfined by predictability, meant to transcend the existing box

Day 1: Avalon. 📌 First tasting, first production meeting, and that moment where you stand in an empty room and start seeing the whole night in your head. Imagination at work…

It's official! 🔮🪄 On Thursday, October 8th, we present 40 YEARS OF MAGIC!, the 40th anniversary celebration for Youth Emerging Stronger, who have spent four decades helping young people in Los Angeles experiencing homelessness find their way into a better future!

Bare walls, blank screens, and an extraordinarily long list of to-dos. That is my favorite part of the job... soon this room will be full!

Support the kids! 🎟 Seats avail at YouthEmergingStronger.org
