Hi everyone!✨ I know it’s been a long wait, but I can say that “Love, Lila” is coming back. Mark your calendars for January 9, 2025 – the comic’s anniversary and our official return date! 🍀

This past year has been intense, with my final year in animation school and the grief of my grandpa’s passing. It was challenging and led to some burnout, but I’m excited to share that I’m back and stronger!

I’ve been building a buffer of episodes to ensure smooth, consistent updates. You’ll also notice a subtle shift in the art style, designed to work well for both the comic and future animations (yeah might as well make use of my degree to make lil gay animations to share with yall HAHAHA)😂

✨In the meantime, I’ll be sharing WIPs, sketches, and special holiday illustrations to keep you in the loop.
Early-access episodes will be back on Patreon with the official launch in January.✨

I was a student of Paul Bush at CSC Animazione. And, faced with the sad news of Paul Bush passing, and crying, I could not help but remember when Paul Bush had commented in class, with his usual English sarcasm and a touch of sincerity, that none of us, and no one in general, would go to his funeral because no one would care if he died.

For this reason, as a tribute to what he has contributed to animation as an animator and as a teacher, inspiring so many young people like us, like me, I wanted to prove him wrong. There are people who care.

For this, I have created this tribute, with the contribution of various students and some professors.

It’s called “Farewell Ancient Mariner”.

Paul Bush, as a teacher, and as an artist, was the biggest proof of the school @cscanimazione means: Experimental. Bold. Sensitive and Intelligent.

I hope this showcases all of what we all feel after this immense loss. But also, showcase who he was in the eyes of so many people in life.
