POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The foundation upon everything I taught my boys was built around one thing:
Moving, faking, and taking advantage of the flat-footed wrestler.
There are very few who teach this style. YES it's a style. It flows more like boxing but we wrestle. It involves timing and rhythm.
If you don’t see it you can’t teach it. When done correctly it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
That’s why we wrestled on the beat. I am sad to say my son moved away from this and his wrestling suffered I hope he will find his way back to the beat!
Move to make him plant.
Fake to make him reach.
Punish the moment his feet stop or he reaches to defend. Simple and effective.
You're on the beat. Their off the beat. That’s the name of the game. Song by CHASING THE CHARLES. Wrestling is an art and the mat is the canvas.

When you put two bulls in a pen only one will come out the ALPHA! Some men are ok playing second. Some men have no desire to be the one and only, and there are those who stand on the line and decide you will have to kill me first. Not a physical death but If it comes down to it so be it! Yes it’s that serious for those who come from a combat sports background. I have always trained mine that way but I do not believe they full grasped the concept. Two men enter one man leaves. #fight #alphamale #fightordie #wrestling
