“To Those Who Believed Before the Proof” Before the results, before the recognition, before the proof — someone has to believe enough to invest in the person behind the dream. To everyone who has believed in me, supported me, encouraged me, or simply gave me the space to keep building — thank you. I won’t take that belief lightly. The dream is still being built. #thankful #love #commitment #passion

Athlete: @yslforglory Competition: USAPL Raw Nationals 2026 This one hurt. We had about as close to an ideal prep as you can ask for, and to come so close to solidifying an 800kg+ total makes this one difficult to sit with. The preparation was there. The strength was there. But meet day has a way of exposing variables that preparation alone can’t always predict. We walked away with a squat PR, went 3/3 on bench, and came into deadlift with an opportunity to finish what we started. It didn’t happen. Right now, it hurts. In time, this will become one of those performances we come to appreciate—not because of the outcome, but because of what it teaches us about what comes next. We reset. We refine. We return. The standard hasn’t changed. #usapowerlifting #rawnationals #powerlifting #collectthedata AI-assisted design was used in the creation and formatting of the graphics. Bench Press Meet Recap: Athlete: @yslforglory Competition: USAPL Raw Nationals 2026 Two weeks out, our final readiness assessment came from 385 lb and 395 lb singles, both moving in under 1.00 second. The strongest indicator came from the final set of 365 × 2, where the second repetition was completed in 0.86 seconds. That set showed excellent movement quality with no noticeable increase in fatigue, giving us confidence that additional strength was available on meet day. Attempts * ✅ 180.0 kg (396.8 lb) — Good lift * ✅ 190.0 kg (418.9 lb) — Good lift * ✅ 192.5 kg (424.4 lb) — Good lift (**slide correction 95%)⭐️⭐️⭐️ After the Indiana State Championship, I felt the biggest opportunity for improvement was rebuilding consistency in the bench press. We increased training frequency and productive volume with the goal of creating a stronger foundation while allowing the athlete to continue progressing without accumulating unnecessary fatigue. The adjustments paid off throughout the entire preparation. Strength steadily improved, bar speed remained consistent, and recovery stayed predictable. More importantly, the athlete maintained technical consistency under heavier loads, giving us confidence going into competition. Meet day unfolded exactly as planned. All three attempts were executed cleanly, resulting in a flawless 3-for-3 performance. Based on the training data, I believed 200 kg (440.9 lb) was within reach. However, after the missed third squat attempt, I made the coaching decision to prioritize a successful third bench rather than chase another milestone. Securing a perfect bench series kept confidence high, added valuable kilos to the total, and positioned the athlete well for the deadlift. #usapl #rawnationals #powerlifting Looking back, I believe it was the right decision. Sometimes the best coaching choice isn’t taking the biggest risk—it’s making the decision that gives the athlete the greatest chance to maximize their overall performance on meet day SPI Performance System™ Developed by DeSean Hines Original concepts, programming, analysis, and methodology by the author. Squat Meet Recap Athlete: @yslforglory Competition: USAPL Raw Nationals 2026 Class: 125kg Junior A successful peak isn’t measured by the biggest number attempted—it’s measured by what the data proves. This prep was governed by deadlift development while preserving squat performance. Three weeks out, the final signal showed greater reserve capacity than the cycle that produced previous best squat. That gave us the confidence to push when it mattered. Results: ✅ 267.5 kg (589.7 lb) ✅ 295.0 kg (650.4 lb) — New Competition PR ❌ 312.5 kg (688.9 lb) The third attempt wasn’t a gamble—it was an informed decision based on projected performance capacity. Even though the lift wasn’t completed, it validated where the ceiling currently sits and provides the roadmap for the next development phase. Data doesn’t just explain success—it explains what’s next. Performance Governance. Data Driven. Results Proven. #Powerlifting #USAPL #collectthedata #SPI #SystemPerformanceIndex SPI Performance System™ Developed by DeSean Hines Original concepts, programming, analysis, and methodology by the author. Athlete @yslforglory Competition: USAPL Raw Nationals Date: June 29, 2025 Lift: Deadlift 3/3 1st attempt: 275kg/606lbs 2nd attempt: 297.5kg/655.9lbs 3rd attempt: 312.5kg/688.9lbs Goal for the meet: Securing a 700lbs deadlift, after getting eyes on the board coach’s call was to achieving a PR total, setting a new PR for the deadlift, increasing the TN State deadlift record as well. Preparation focus: Following two blocks with limited progression due to recomp, we relied on data from previous preps and blocks to regain momentum. With a 4-day turnaround from our last heavy SBD day, we executed without prep days, leveraging adaptability and confidence in planning. Key takeaways: Collect data, communicate effectively, and trust your vision. Since our first meet four months ago, Cam has added just about 100lbs to his total while maintaining his body weight, rebuilding into his class during prep. #usapl #rawnationals #powerlifting #teamcollectthedata
