OPENING IN ONE WEEK!! PICTURE THIS: A PUBLIC IMAGE 15–25 October 2026 POOTLE (Inside Shindaita FEVER), Tokyo I’m pleased to announce the first exhibition of my PICTURE THIS: A PUBLIC IMAGE outside the UK, taking place at POOTLE gallery in Tokyo. This collection of photographs (that were hidden away for 45 years) documents the explosion of punk, new wave and ska in the independent music venues of Los Angeles between 1978 and 1980. I worked as a paparazzo in Hollywood and once punk exploded I would frequent the dive venues of L.A. My camera was never far from my side and I began taking photos of the bands I saw including Blondie, The Clash, John Lydon & PiL, Madness, The Specials, The Selecter, The Go-Go’s, X, The Cramps, Patti Smith, The Undertones and many more. The exhibition captures a remarkable moment in music history, documenting not only the artists on stage but also the clubs, audiences and atmosphere that surrounded the emergence of punk, new wave and ska in L.A. These photographs were stored in numerous places over the years whilst I travelled the world before being rediscovered and exhibited for the first time in 2025. Alongside the exhibition, visitors will be able to purchase the accompanying book, signed prints and exclusive exhibition merchandise. “These aren’t just snapshots of gigs; they are some of the best live shots of classic bands of our time” – John Robb – Author. The COMMON New Art DJ YUICHI (99% is SHIT) 8/15 （土） at Club Heavy Sick Open 18:00 / Start 18:30 Adv ¥2700 / Door ¥3200 (+1 drink) #whatwedoisnotsecret

VVVVision、SALT AND CURVE、AKABANE VULGARS ON STRONG BYPASS、そしてDJ YUICHIみんなカッコよかったです！

それに負けない個性的なバンドばかりだし、DJユーイチの選曲も見どころ❗️ What We Do is NOT Secret presents GIANT MOA (Switzerland) NANOX SALT AND CURVE AKABANE VULGARS ON STRONG BYPASS VVVVision DJ YUICHI (99% is SHIT) Saturday 7/25 at Hatagaya Club Heavy Sick Open 18:00 / Start 18:30 Adv ¥2700 / Door ¥3200 (+1 drink) #whatwedoisnotsecret

Are you ready for the wall of sound? What We Do is NOT Secret presents GIANT MOA (Switzerland) NANOX SALT AND CURVE AKABANE VULGARS ON STRONG BYPASS VVVVision DJ YUICHI (99% is SHIT) Saturday 7/25 at Hatagaya Club Heavy Sick Open 18:00 / Start 18:30 Adv ¥2700 / Door ¥3200 (+1 drink) #whatwedoisnotsecret #wwdins

NO ONE AND THE SOMEBODIESがなんと言うか、Zappa的でもありHenry Cow的でもあり、現代的なSoft Machineのフレーバーもありで、またスペースロックナイトをやりたくなった！ No One and the Somebodies
