I went on this mission trip hoping to be used by Him, but He ended up changing my heart in ways I never expected. I had the privilege of being paired with the sweetest buddy and spending the week loving on these kids. Through every game, conversation, hug, and laugh, I was reminded that ministry isn’t about having all the right words it’s about showing up, loving others the way Christ loves us, and being faithful to where He has called us.

One of the biggest reminders God gave me this week is that every child deserves to know they are deeply loved, intentionally created, and never forgotten. It was such an honor to be a small part of planting seeds and pointing them to the hope that is found in Jesus.

I’m leaving New Orleans with a heart that is full of gratitude. Thank You, Lord, for allowing me to witness Your faithfulness, Your love, and the ways You are moving in the lives of these children. Continue to protect them, surround them with people who reflect Your love, and remind them every day that they are Your beloved.

Dear Class of 2025,

This is definitely one of the hardest classes I’ve had to say goodbye to. You have all had such a special place in my heart. Some of you have been here since day one, and others I just met this year, but you all have still shown kindness, love, and compassion towards me, no matter what. I only pray and wish the best for you all, and thank you for supporting me, guiding me and giving me advice for when it’s my turn.
