Recently, many people have said things to me like, "I'd like to see you playing again." Guess what? I did it for DECADES! I poured my heart and soul into my music and had some great times and great shows and met some wonderful people, but ultimately I was giving A LOT more than I was getting.

And guess what else? If you'd like to hear my music, if you'd like to support what I spent years of my life doing, I have music (physical records AND downloads) available on Bandcamp. Look up Andalusia Rose (bluesy spacey rock) and/or the 440s (garage-y punk) on Bandcamp, and you can be a part of what once was a consuming passion for me. I played guitar, sang, wrote songs, booked shows, booked tours, lost job opportunities, lost sleep, wrecked my back, had great times, and exhausted myself physically, mentally, and spiritually. It felt like a constant uphill battle, with a small degree of payoff. I loved it and I regret none of it, but I don't see where it would fit into my life today.

I'm a caregiver to more than one person, I work with an arts and education non-profit ( @hwy_sanctuary ), am a part-time curator at a gallery ( @la.matadora.gallery ), am a working artist who can barely keep up with my own ideas, am working on building a studio, am dealing with arthritis, degenerative disk disease, and Hashimoto's, and am absolutely exhausted. So yes, I'm flattered that you think it would be cool to see me onstage again, but where were you when I WAS doing it? I was out there for a long time. Some of you were there, and I'm grateful.

I won't say I'm done, because the love is still there. And @cripprocktony and I have some great songs we need to get out. But I'm tired and my plate is MORE than full. And....I have records that I made that I poured my heart and sweat and money into, that you can buy or stream if you'd like to check them out!

As a side note, if you're interested in supporting musicians, Bandcamp is a great platform to purchase their work from, as most of the money goes to the artist, as opposed to streaming platforms.

The graciously good-humored and geographically globetrotting garçon goes to the Ghatkopar ghetto and garnishes his generally global and genuinely groomed ’gram gallery with a gratifying glimpse of a grandiosely gargantuan gearwheel’s glistening grape gradient grandeur. .

Sending out this mixed bag of art prints (available on my website) and old (the 440s) and new (@andalusiaroseband) band merch, available on our respective Bandcamp pages, to Washington.
I played in a band called The 440s from '97 - '03. We did a handful of cross-country van tours, put out 2 full-length albums on Dionysus and Steel Cage Records, plus a number of 7"'s in the US and Europe, and we got to open for Motorhead once. Because of all this, and because I hung onto our stuff for all these years, occasionally (like today) I get to buy myself some tacos!

Recovering from repeatedly relocating, the relentlessly revenant road-tripper reaches a really rare and rather relieving reward of rest and relaxation by recreationally rejuvenating in the rich river valley’s radioactive roman ruins.

Instead of illustrating idiotically inert indoor indolence, I introduce to Instagram an ideally illuminated and intensely iridescent image of innate integrity inspired by invading the iconically intriguing and immensely immersive Indonesian islands.
