A day of working still had time to see and a little bit of the city. At night, this place reminds me of Gotham City. Pretty cool.

FEATURED ARTIST IN TRINITY BUOY WHARF - DRAWING PRIZE 2020 *********** Yutavia George, Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2020 *********** Beyond Confinement 1 of 6, 2020 Beyond Confinement 2 of 6, 2020 Beyond Confinement 3 of 6, 2020 The work is intimate. Streetlight and sunlight were the only visitors to my Parisian apartment this confinement season. I work in series, as Richard Tuttle; with geometric yet organic planes, as Ellsworth Kelly’s bus draw- ings; with an attention to nature and research, as Tania Kovats; and with calligraphic gesture and created tools, as Fabianne Veridier. Beyond Confinement 1 to 6 capture time, along with indoor and outdoor objects whose opaqueness were highlighted by light during March-May 2020. The environment affects my work; using performative components. This series is time and process-based, seeking to trace the present while providing windows which question the future. *********** The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2020 exhibition includes 71 drawings by 56 practitioners - including works by students to those by established artists and makers – selected from 4,274 submissions received from across the UK and internationally.

What an incredible 2 weeks it has been doing my research residency at @lairarts 🤍 This experience really solidified the importance of collectives and international groups of people, especially artists, coming together, exchanging ideas and learning about the process of each artist, their artistic vision and how they approach executing their ideas. To top it all, we also had the amazing opportunity to see a crazy amount of art fairs and exhibitions in Paris that were all so unique and different. A major thank you to our lovely curator @clare.a_ for bringing together a very diverse group of artists from around the world and in terms of practice. It made the experience so much better! I got to learn from installation artists, a fantastic musician, an accomplished playwright, painters, educators, and video artists. I feel so privileged to have spent this time with this insanely talented group of artists and can’t wait to see what each of them do in the future. 🤍 ✨We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts. ✨ @canada.council I have tagged everyone here, so please take some time and explore their amazing work! 🫶🏼
