~DTS so far~

Can’t believe it’s already been a month since I came to Malaysia… but on the other hand, I can’t believe that it’s ONLY been a month, so much has happened. I’ve made so many new friends—brothers and sisters, more like—and we’ve learned so much from the classes, small groups, EV, and spiritual foundation nights, that for the first time in my life I feel spiritually, mentally, and physically drained, all at once… but somehow it’s a good kind of exhaustion; I wouldn’t have it any other way.

And we students (and staff) all spent so much time together—hiking, playing volleyball, swimming, climbing, movie nights, playing board games, worshipping, interceding, and just hanging around in general, that it feels like I’ve known them all my life.

As for the lectures—we’ve had so many great men and women of God teaching us that honestly, I don’t know which one I liked best. They all taught us and ministered to us in such different ways…

Can’t imagine what life would have been like if I hadn’t signed up for this DTS. But—thank God—I did. And here I am. Here we are.

Four more months to go!

This week I had the privilege of teaching at YWAM Experience Asia’s Discipleship Training School in Kuala Lumpur. 🇲🇾

Over five days we dove into the Fear of the Lord: holiness, repentance, forgiveness, and what it means to answer God’s call.

I want to honor the students and staff. They came hungry and honest, and they made real room for the Holy Spirit. We watched people lay down burdens they had carried for years and choose to forgive. 🙏

On the final day, they gathered around me and prayed. I came to minister, and I left encouraged.

Thank you, YWAM EA. Keep burning. 🔥

What an exciting Sunday we had! With many nations gathered right here at Victory Church Bandar Utama!

We’re so excited to welcome the new batch of @ywamea to Malaysia! 🇲🇾 We pray that this will be an incredible season as you dive deeper into missions, discover God’s heart for the nations and bless the community around you.

As Ps @joelliewmy shared, “One life to live, one life to give.” So, how are we using the talents and gifts that God has given us? May we choose to live generously, serve faithfully, and use what we’ve been given to make a difference for His Kingdom. 🙏✨

it’s so easy to sit at home and watch everyone go to different countries and wish this could be you, it’s so easy to judge people for going on short-term or long-term missions to Mexico or Africa, wherever they might be because of our own personal beliefs.

all in all, it’s even easier to live this life of full time ministry and get all caught up in the fun and action of things. and then once that happens, you lose it all.

i pray to never lose the Lord’s heart for His nations, and His people. wherever He calls me whether it’s to my neighbor in Florida, to a friend in Europe or a tribe in East Asia, i pray that I will always feel the weight of the Father’s heart and His word.

so as we all post about living on mission, it’s always good to check that the Lord hears about our hearts for the mission we are on just as much as our social media does! PRAYER IS POWERFUL, and it works from your room at home just as much as it does in a presence hub in the middle of an unreached country. i’ve seen it.

start with prayer, and the Lord takes you so far.
