What is the purpose of velocity based training?

Velocity based training can help drive intent to improve strength & power in enhancing neural firing and creating maximal muscle contractions.

Moving a weight as fast as you can involves muscular control as well as sequencing to drive intent.

While having absolute strength helps in improving strength. Velocity based training can help to improve other aspects of strength such as strength-speed, speed-strength, and explosive strength & power.

Using the @ovrperformance velocity based trainer, we can measure metrics such as peak velocity, average velocity, and power to help program and enhance athletic abilities in our athletes.

Interested in how we can help improve your athletic ability? Send us a DM!
