My newest mix was recorded for @oramicspl - a platform supporting women, LGBTQ+ and non-binary artists from Eastern and Central Europe.

On that occasion, I’d love to take a moment to appreciate all the women and non-binary folks I’ve had the pleasure to share decks with and/or work with this year 🫶🏼🌝🫶🏼
You’ve been a source of inspiration and empowerment.

It’s important for me to share this, because we’re still living very much in a “man’s” world (why in quotes? - read on).

I could talk about why a sausage party is neither fun nor beneficial for the scene.
But I’m here to make a different point now.

Have you ever reflected on what energy drives your favorite events?
<Yes, festivals and rave collectives, I’m looking at you 🌝>

We talk about sustainability, but most of it stops at reusable cups.
What about the people who make events happen?

Masculine energy still rules: short-term outcomes, constant urgency, focus on achievement, little reflection, little care.

Burnouts follow.

We’re great at producing single nights, terrible at producing legacies.

The industry screams for more feminine-driven, transformative collaboration.
More feedback, reflection, softness, embodiment, non-linear leadership.

A yin/yang balance that fosters resilience in teams.
We can still use strategic clarity while holding a soft space for feedback and co-creation.

Healthy teams throw better, longer-lasting parties.

I put “man’s” world in quotes because this is not about anatomy or gender.
We all reinforce that pushy masculine energy. It’s cultural, deeply ingrained in us all.
White supremacy culture at its “best.”

We all gotta unlearn.
In the meantime, less white cis-males in decision-making positions and leadership please <3

/shoutouts to @newvisions_ and @ulex_project__ for the continuous learning opportunities🫶🏼/
