Take me back, Austin! What a time. That was a birthday for the books- so many beautiful humans, beats, and precious memories made. We’re still going- because birth-month! Last night was Red Rocks MAGIC (isn’t it always) with @sofitukker and a few of my favorites. We put a blanket down to claim our spot and some spectacular ladies leaned in to join us and be a part of our evening. How lovely to be seen as a safe place for a few more baddies to land. It makes me so thankful for the wonderful world we have created where women can recognize safe women and be open to conversations and collaboration. I sure hope our paths cross again but if not- I am thankful for our evening. This is exactly how I met so many of my Austin humans. A moment of bravery and vulnerability. Can you spare some shade? Or choosing to dance with someone embracing the present moment. Sometimes all it takes is a moment of openness at a show and you keep them forever. That will always be me. Music will always be one of my love languages and an integral part of my creative process. Whether it is inspiration drawn from an experience, a part of my creative process or something SO extra it simply must be worn at a show. It’s a part of me. Forever. And I will always be thankful for the humans it has gifted me throughout the years. #racheldawndesigns

I’ve had a secret… and I’m so excited to finally share it with y’all! 🎥

I’m officially back in videography.

Way back 10 years yonder in high school, I worked in our broadcast department and then I went to college initially for for editing. Stepping back into this world has felt both incredibly familiar and completely new…just this time within a corporate setting. Ha!

Over the last few months, I’ve had the opportunity to help build Removery’s in-house filming studio from the ground up. That meant early mornings and late nights moving office furniture, assembling new furniture, detailing the space, dealing with the infamous paint situation, troubleshooting lights and mics, filming, editing, and ultimately delivering the final product.
I absolutely learned the hard way that a “small paint touch-up” is never just a small paint touch-up 😂

It has been so rewarding reconnecting with a part of myself I haven’t used professionally in years, while also combining it with everything I’ve learned through photography, branding, storytelling, set design and production.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created so far, and even more excited about where this is going. I’m beyond thankful for the trust, support and creative collaboration my mentors at Removery have given me to bring this project to life. We’re set to build out an official studio with all the bells and whistles but for this moment, this reel is a little time capsule for something I put so much love into. And to remind myself to never paint in your Madewell jeans. Ha!

So by day, I might be a goofy studio manager. And by night, I’m a video editor again but this time with corporate projects 🤭 what an adventure my creative life has become.
