🎺 A moment in Detroit music history.

Deep in the heart of Eastern Market at the now-gone Division Gallery, the Detroit Paris Detroit Festival brought musicians from Detroit and France together to create, experiment, and push musical boundaries. Spaces like this are rare, and their absence is felt.

This performance features The Clockwork Horns: Zac Land on trombone, Allen Dennard on trumpet, and Pierre Lambla on soprano sax, bringing that spirit of collaboration to my song Please.

The space may be gone, but the music lives on.

🎶 The single Please is available now on all streaming platforms. Listen now and let it move you. Link in the comments.

What independent music space or live performance left a lasting impression on you? Share your memories below.

Detroit Music Scene - meet @mydetroitplayers.mdp You may already know them as they’re engrained in the scene but they are new to me. Special shout out to my new friend @emilyrogersdetroit who invited me to this amazing curated evening of enriched LIVE music. There was rap, there was rock, there was funk and otherworldly music. My ears were on overdrive with their sound that I’ve never heard anything like it. What an amazing evening that I’m so grateful to have been able to be in attendance of. They were something else!!! This is like musicianship overload.. the musicality, the unique sounds, the comradely, the delicate balance of all these dissonant tones that worked so well together. I was blown away. As I get all the musicians instagrams I will add them as in all about recognition and discovery. Then if you love them as much as I did, you can go follow the band and all the musicians as you go on your own musical journey as well. Please go show them all some love. 🩵🫶🏼🤍

And if you missed this one.. don’t worry they are having these every month I believe. Do yourself a favor and come to one.. this night was LIT!! 🔥🔥
