Vienna memories, and “I’m still in bloom…”

note to self; don’t ever stop putting life on film. I love these people and these memories. I cherish these photos deeply. Thankful doesn’t quite do how I feel to have had these experiences and to have felt the Love I felt… justice, but it’s a start at something beautiful. I wish I could properly put into words how magical and free I felt in Europe. Something about not being treated as less than but rather respected with human decency, no bartering for rights in conversation with strangers- just human decency. It changed me. Iris was free to bloom. It was beautiful to experience, and a lesson I am thrilled to be reminded of by these photos. Until next time. #Genau

Shoutout to the first German word I learned. A year later and I’m still painting from a point of inspiration from the waves of Love I was fortunate enough to experience along the Mosel. The ripple effects rebound through my everyday and remind me to think bigger than I could ever dream. To remain in an open heart space. To remain flexible. To never stop chasing that spark inside that whispers in my ear like a beautiful cherub. That’s the key that turns the lock into the world I house my “chosen family,” in. That cornerstone phrase reminds me of so much beauty, joy, and freedom. Hold onto the magic, because it’s a wild ride. That I do know to be true.

Girl, the fabulosity of it all. Here’s to my best friend. Happy Birthday, love. I hope the world smiles on you always like you do on my heart. Thank you for being you. Thank you for shining your light like only you know how. You’re a special light in my life and I thank you for being a star in my night sky. Getting to share in your orbit this summer was such a special experience. Here’s to the next time, may the year ahead be full of blessings and love. I love you!!💕

Today’s agenda: raid Rewe for an irresponsible amount of cheese, beer, and wine 🍷🧀🍺
Then we strolled over the Mosel like the classy queens we are to the firefighter wine fest in Sehl, where we had a couple wineschulas and lived our best vineyard-adjacent lives.

Took a day trip to Luxembourg 🇱🇺 and walked what felt like the entire country. We explored the city, took in the views, and treated ourselves to pommes frites and steak 🥩🍟 like the classy tourists we are.

And on the train ride home, somewhere between exhaustion and inspiration, my new drag name was born: Shannon Higgins 🍎💅👏 (complement to Zach)

She’s elegant, mildly unhinged, and never skips class

Memes from my travels to Germany and a few splashes of color. I hope they give you a giggle.
