My beautiful grandma said goodbye to this earth on Saturday 24th January 2026 💛🪽 She was beautiful, funny, sarcastic, caring and generous to each of us kids. She was probably one of the best cooks I know and was the one who inspired my love for cooking. I remember being a little girl and standing next to her in the kitchen asking “grandma can I break the eggs”. I remember tying my shoelaces for the first time on the living room floor of their house whilst she watched over me smiling. I remember her picking us kids up from school, sitting at the dining table having our afternoon tea that consisted of crackers, cucumber, cheese, some mint slice if we were lucky and a glass of apple juice. She told me once that you do things once, twice and then never again (i stupidly thought that meant I could do the stupid thing 3 times before i actually learnt that i definitely shouldn’t do it again) - she thought that was hilarious My god will I miss her. I will miss hearing her voice, hearing all her nursing stories and me able to share with her things that only she would understand. I am grateful for the bond I shared with her. I am glad her pain is gone and that she is finally at peace. I will be eternally grateful that i got to spend her last birthday and Christmas by her side. Until i see you again grandma. I hope i continue to make you proud. Love, Gracie 🤍🕊️
