: In some oddly beautiful way, our last family photo.

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since we laid you to rest, Mom. You would have loved your service. It was beautiful, moving, & everything you asked for & more. So many people came to honor you lthat there were 2 overflow rooms ! I hope, wherever you were, you could feel just how profoundly loved you were.

Nancy, thank you for ALL you did to make her service what it was. Navita, thank you for eulogizing her so beautifully. To the musicians & speakers who brought so much heart & talent into that room : Cathy, Julius, Nancy, Tom, Erika, Daryl, & Jesse. And to every person who shared a memory, traveled to be there, took time to honor her, or simply showed up for me & my Dad, thank you.

To her pallbearers, @justinbaldoni @tommytoes7 @zachheller5678 @jp000 @wolfscud @mike_hill68 Davíd: thank you for honoring her request. There are no people in this world I would rather have trusted to carry her safely to her final resting place.

Thank you to those who sent flowers, food, cards, texts, called, planted trees in her honor, or donated to the FCS Cancer Fund in her name. I truthfully have not had the capacity to respond to everyone, but please know my gratitude is overflowing.

Life since then has felt a little like the Twilight Zone. Time feels like a vacuum. I can’t seem to remember who I was or what I did before monitoring your every breath, sound, movement, medication, & moment. As I slowly begin integrating back into my own life, I hope everyone will forgive my unsteadiness.

To be honest, I’m carrying very real trauma from caregiving, particularly from her final days. There are sounds & images that don’t disappear when they take their last breath.

We had hospice. We hired additional help. I advocated constantly. It still wasn’t enough.

We have to do better for the dying, & for the families caring for them. Families deserve honest preparation for what dying actually looks & sounds like, more support when things become overwhelming, & care for the people left carrying it afterward.

For her & every family who will 1 day have to walk this road, I hope we can open the door for conversation & find a better way.

A very good first chapter for Apothecary. 🧪

For this talented team, that has meant stories about the pharmacist who inspired it, cocktails that take some unexpected turns, a food program worth talking about, and a space unlike anything else on Clark Street.

We’re proud to help share @theapothecary_lounge’s story, and look forward to all the words yet to be written.

Swipe for a roundup of the headlines so far! 🗞️

What an incredible week at our Steps Company Intensive! 💙✨

We had SO much fun learning, growing, and dancing with an amazing lineup of guest faculty. A huge thank you to every teacher who shared their time, talent, and knowledge with our dancers — we are so grateful! Our dancers are incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to train with each of you.

And to our dancers — we are so proud of how hard you worked, pushed yourselves, and showed up all week long!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this intensive such a special week. We can’t wait to see all that this season brings! 💙

: opening number Queen reporting for duty again. 👑 here’s some mems of #2 (Power Pak Orlando) which occurred at the same time as #3. 😅

42 years of life. 28 years of @powerpakdance. 3 as a kid, many as a team leader, many as an assistant, and 18 years as Senior Choreographer. i don’t comprehend 4th of July celebrations, because what is it if not sweating it out and making magic happen in a gigantic ballroom on floral carpets deep in the bowels of the Dolphin ? 🐬

Orlando Power Pak is always electric ; there’s a fire to it. but this year, not only was there an electricity to it but a deep humility to it as well. it was ego-less and cohesive. what a truly beautiful week. thank you to my Power Pakers for your hard work and sweet, sweet love. i am so proud of each of you and hold all of you in my heart, always.

to my Team Leaders - @alyssa.toscano @kattoscanoo @chloepaigecerreto @lyssalekites @sakuraheath @gab_fatchet @shemaraaaaa thank you for all you did to help make this piece a success ; pushing the kids beyond their perceived limits, your belief in my vision, and for all the love you poured into the Pak. i am so proud of every last one of you. 💜

@jadapate14 @dancingsadie from the club gym, to the carpets with Chip, thank you for helping me pump this piece out ahead of time and for all you did to make sure you had the deets of this piece inside and out before leaving for OC. couldn’t have done 2 cities at one time without you !! 👯‍♀️ so very proud of my girls !

@stardancealliance @danceone Gary, @noellep13 @chrystans @madisonn_benoit ; thank you for trusting me with this platform ; i don’t carry it lightly.

*please leave a comment below if you were part of the Orlando Pak so we can stay in contact !!! 🙏🏻

And remember : Any evil tongue that whispers in these ears, say, "I rebuke you, you must leave my life, you are not welcome here.” !!!! 🙌🏻
