My last AAU tournament with the fellas! UAA Back to Back FINAL FOUR appearance! What a run! By far the best and the most fun group I’ve ever coached. Like minded kids who love the game of basketball. The commitment to be great on the court and in the classroom is what separates you all from the rest! I’m proud of you all. You represented yourselves, your family, myself and the @midwestrootsbasketball program way above what’s expected and I appreciate each one of you for that. To the parents, thank you for letting me coach the boys and letting me coach them without interference, it made the boys focus on making winning plays which made my job easy. After that final buzzer, after a tough loss, you get in that last huddle together… all I thought of was how proud I am of them. The growth, the brotherhood they created, and how much fun they did everything together (on and off the court) this year and in the past years is what I will miss the most - it was a lot of fun. The wins and accomplishments are bonuses.
This is by far one of the best groups to ever do it out of Nebraska if not the best to ever do it (with a lot to back it up with). I can’t wait to see what’s next for each one of you, where ever it is - they will get guys who are winners and know what it takes to get the job done! #EliteGroup #EliteHumanBeings

Our 17U squad’s run comes to an end in the semifinals against WeR1. Very proud of @coachbcastor and this group. They represented Midwest Roots the right way all weekend. One of the best AAU runs we’ve seen from a Nebraska-based team, and this is only Year 1. The future is bright. TOUGH. 🫡🌱 #Family

It’s easy to want results. It’s harder to love the process that gets you there.
The film. The feedback. The slow progress that doesn’t always feel like progress.
That’s the part we embrace here, because if you can fall in love with the work, the results take care of themselves.🏀
