"And the universe said I love you because you are love. And the game was over and the player woke up from the dream. And the player began a new dream. And the player dreamed again, dreamed better. And the player was the universe. And the player was love."

I owe myself to countless people who, knowingly or not, have nudged and pulled at who I am across the last eighteen years of my life. Many of those people do not know me, and many may wish they hadn't. If I were to etch each name I am grateful for along a blank road, my legs would crumble before I could reach its end, and the will to carve them all would outlive me.

It is my privilege to have discovered the things that make me jump out of my seat and to obsess over them. There is a strange holiness in caring deeply about anything at all. I couldn't imagine my life as sparkless as it would have been in the absence of music and science. I have come to love them not just as an observer, but as a vessel in every moment.

I work not to be the best, but better. It is not the result that defines what I do, but the effort with which I carry it out. If I try my all at what I care for and still fall short, I’m happy. I have embarrassed myself in front of more people than I can count, but I think that was part of the point. I would rather keep trying at what scares me than live carefully around everything I sought to do and be.

If I could take one thing from my life to share with others, it wouldn't be any award or ordinary means of success, it would be the lens through which I have learned to experience the universe. Some days are better spent sitting in the autumn breeze than in the restless anxiety of proving yourself, even if that peace is mistaken as failure. For a time, I forgot that happiness was not something I could wait for, or something the world would give to me, but something I had to choose and see every day in everything.

Life is beautiful when it's full of love.

Yours truly,
— Ozzy McG.

On Saturday, we competed at the Omaha Central High School tournament. Alliancing with @9065s_phantom_robotics , we made it to quarterfinals, when our battery was unfortunately disabled in an accident on the field. While we did not quite see the results we were looking for, we certainly gained important insight and look forward to our next tournament at Omaha North High School.

Thanks to @ha.ha.iley from @9065_phantom_robotics for the amazing photography this weekend!

First competition of the year! We competed at the Omaha South- Tom Dickey Memorial Tournament yesterday, placing 2nd in skills with a score of 81 and making it to tournament finals with our alliance, 3141W. Placing in first was 5069Y, alongside @1028a_washed who also brought home the skills champion award. Our placements at the Tom Dickey Memorial Tournament earned us our Nebraska State Championship invitation, along with an invitation to the United States JROTC National Championship in Sandusky, Ohio.

Shoutout to our amazing notebooker, @itsalyssababe for the fantastic work on our notebooks this year!!
