Tomorrow is our final show of the @monqui_presents @edgefieldconcerts series, show number 22, as we welcome @ and special guest @phillyglove to the stage and to my #loungeonthegreen
This marks my fifth year backstage with the Lounge, and each year I’ve expanded both the footprint (we now have three lounges!) and offerings.
Few things give me as much pleasure, purpose, and reaffirm my belief that “radical hospitality” should be the new norm for touring artists and crews.
I want to thank @smithteamaker and @zackagopian who have been with me from day one, and whose boxes of teas have made it onto the buses of over 100 tours thus far.
Thanks to @roselinecoffee whose amazing beans and cold brew have blown minds and kept our guests focused and upright. This partnership came through @ladyconnie who arguably may do more for this city than anyone I know.
I’ve used the full line of @microjoyful products from the day they were released, with amazing results. Buy their stuff, it works!
Our berries have been sourced from @groundworkorganics from the start, and their crew is as lovely as their produce. Best berries in Portland, and yes, I will fight you.
The absolute best cookies ANYWHERE are provided by @sweetandsalty.pdx . I’ve worked with since the day they opened, and long before that when they were in the cannabis edibles space. Their cookies were so good, @lcdsoundsystem insisted on two full platters. When in Portland, you must go there.
Starting Tuesday, we’ll begin tearing down and loading out the entire venue, like a Tibetan sand mandala that exists and is then gone.
I’m already planning additional upgrades for our 2027 season, which may or may not include a sauna and cold plunge.
Big love to every artist, crew member, afterparty attendee and VIP we hosted. Stay safe out there, and y’all come back soon.
I will be available for #backstagebudtending and holiday parties starting late October. HMU.
