I watched the film "Better Watch Out" last night. I really enjoyed it! Better Watch Out is a fun, twisted, and absolutely wild horror film with a dark humorous wit and offbeat characters.

The great script by Zack Kahn and director Chris Peckover brings a new bold twist to the holidays, telling a shocking story about coming of age, friendship, morality, and survival with unexpected twists and turns.

Olivia DeJonge leads a fantastic ensemble cast that includes Levi Miller, Ed Oxenbould, Aleks Mikic, Dacre Montgomery, Patrick Warburton, and Virginia Madsen.

The cinematography is superb by Carl Robertson, and it has a really good soundtrack and score by Brian Cachia. It's well-edited by Julie-Anne de Ruvo, and it has some spectacular costume design(Anna Cahill), set decoration(Mark Dawson), and production design(Richard Hobbs). Chris Peckover did a terrific job directing this dark, exciting, and tense Christmas film that I would highly recommend.

I just had to come on today and share a little bit about what I’ve been up to and how I am walking into this year. I know it all feels very challenging and intense and depressing, but at the same time we all have stuff to do. We have people to love. We have stories to write. We have things to heal. We have things to build. We have dances to dance we have medicine to make, and we have ecosystems to protect and to heal.

So let’s not let these motherfuckers distract us from the work.

The Monkey is absolutely bonkers and totally Papaya!* This movie is some of the most fun I’ve had in a theater in a long, long while, and I swear I am not just saying that because writer/director Osgood Perkins was sitting behind me.

Utterly wild horror comedy that is full of just as many side splitting laughs as it has jumps scares. Truly some of the insanely best and over the top kills ever put to film. Honestly, I just had a big ol’ smile on my face from start to finish.

I could keep beating its drum all day, but I think it’s best for you all to just go check out The Monkey yourselves when it hits theaters on February 21st. See it big and see it loud. Go in blind and with a packed crowd.
