Hit a lil milestone; 300th board. I’m much more about the quality over quantity something that was engrained in my brain from Juan @rhinolaminating 🫶🏽 wouldn’t be here with out the Rhino crew; forever thankful! Stoked that no.300 can be mine for now 🔥 @zackoopman wanted to do this magma inlay tint with a resin spear… it looks mental! A 6’4 x 20 7/8 x 2 3/4 single fin inspired by what got me hooked on surfing and building boards in the first place.

Some action through the @rhinolaminating factory yesterday, jumped in with the camera as a few of our boards were in the lam room. New prototype fin template being foiled by Josh that @panza_fins is helping to bring to life for the Prologue.

Life is like a journey and sometimes it’s not the destination that’s the most important thing but the adventure getting there and the people who you meet along the way. Thanks to @surfingworld for taking the time to come and hear some of our story of who we are and how we got here. So grateful for all the messages of support from the community and the surfing industry to help us get through this speed bump in our journey. Back to the 70’s with this colab hand shaped 6’6 Sting w/ @zackoopman It was pretty cool figuring out every little detail of the board’s design, sharing the planer and ideas with a classics frother like Zac. Inspired by @aipasurf shortboard’s revolution design that changed that era’s way of surfing. “He created a winged outline that had a wide nose and hip but a narrow, tapered tail. With that, the stinger addressed two major performance points at once: the wider front section had more surface area than conventional designs, thus improving floatation and planing speed, while the narrower rear section, coupled with Aipa’s swallowtail, allowed for sharper turns and a greater manoeuvrability. The effect of the wings was like moving the tail 1/3 up the board’s length, providing release and almost instantaneous pivot.” @surfsimply We will glass it as classic as the design gets.
