@runtheworldsummit is still on my heart, a whole week as passed and Iโ€™m still processing the impact of what took place in that room. My takeaways from the Run the World Money Moves Summit 2026; a room that reminded me of the places I grew up. โšก๏ธIt is 2026, people. Representation IS essential. It counts. Keep your tokenism to yourself. โšก๏ธBeing the change starts within. As BIPOC we cannot expect others to lead what we will not boldly own or claim. So stand on it. Proudly. โšก๏ธFind THE ONE who can hold the nuances of your story and journey as a founder, in full expression, no dimming down โ€” be it team, mentors, collaborators. โšก๏ธWe donโ€™t need to carry our shame with us as a safety blanket. Success is a state of moving, no matter what. โšก๏ธOne person opening a door can change everything. One referral. One connection. One day of being in the right room can move mountains. Be a catalyst, not a gatekeeper. โšก๏ธShoot your shot daily, make the ask, audaciously. โšก๏ธOwn your journey, all of it. Share it. Your vulnerability IS part of leading transparently and boldly. โšก๏ธPut yourself in new rooms (online and IRL). Get out of vour echochamber. The best opportunities take place organically, through connection, relationship building x nurturing. โšก๏ธRelationships are the foundation of business, brand building, life, and everything in between. โšก๏ธWhen in doubt, remind yourself of how far youโ€™ve come.
