To the corps that changed my life:

Thank you.

Thank you for providing me with memories that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you for the incredible staff who would beat the crap out of us and then be our biggest cheerleaders. Thank you for having the best members and more importantly people this activity has ever seen. Thank you for setting me up for success where I never had to worry about anything other than the task at hand. Thank you for providing me with the best summer of my life where even after 3 weeks it’s still hard to come up with the words to describe its magic.

I think only the people who’ve spent time at the Blue Stars truly know how special of a group it is. People on the outside will see a flash of it when we perform our hearts out but the true beauty of the group can only be felt within. I feel so fortunate and humbled to be one of these lucky people that got to be surrounded by love and passion for 73 days.

I know this isn’t the end of my involvement with the Blue Stars. I’ll always be scooping breakfast in the food line, holding the door open for sleepy members at 4AM, and screaming my lungs out in the stands. I could never picture myself being away from this corps because it’s such an integral part of who I’ve become. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What an absolute privilege and honor it’s been to age out with the 2026 Blue Stars. I am just so so happy I got to do it at my home.

I’ll see you all at the souvie stand :)

part 2!

wow wow wow wow wow. it is genuinely unbelievable that I went and did the thing that I've been looking up to for the last 4 years. now that ive been home for a while, I actually feels like someone just cut out my entire summer and I'm just watching it from someone else's eyes. genuinely a one of a kind experience. I wouldn't replace my time here with the aufe with anything else.

of course, none of this would be possible without all of the people that stood beside me, worked their butts off with me, cried with me, laughed with me, and all the other things. this iteration of the aufe was one of the most genuine groups of people i've ever had the pleasure and privilege to be a part of and play alongside. i am so grateful for each and every one of you, and I cannot wait to see where you all go, especially you youngsters with so much more time to grow (looking at you tyler levin and phaedra).

this summer might have been the hardest thing i've ever done. i was tested physically, mentally, emotionally, and every other -ally that you could be tested. despite it all, i made it through in one piece and i am smarter and stronger for it. i cant wait to go try and do it again for however long i am able.

thank you @golddrumcorps and @au_pit for showing me what I can do and helping me carve a path to a very luminous future.

another one down

if i told myself 2 years ago i'd be here at gold, i'd have thought i was joking. i'm still in shock that i got to perform an amazing show with such an amazing group of people. my section was filled with some of the most talented and kind hearted people i have ever met and i am so sad that i won't be able to march with some of them again. this isn't my first corps, but i feel inclined to consider gold my home corps. thank you so much for this unforgettable season. AU respect.
