Security has a lot to do with accessibility. Pretty Deadly self defense is accessible and inclusive. We start together from where we are 🫶

Safety isn’t a universal experience.

It’s access.

And access depends on a lot of things most people don’t talk about in self-defense spaces:

Language
Stigma
Poverty
Immigration status
Shame
Body literacy
Even whether or not you know what a boundary feels like

Some people can go to therapy right after something happens

Some people can’t say it out loud for ten years

Some people are still trying to figure out how to survive their own home

Pretty Deadly was built from that reality.

We don’t assume you’ve had the resources.
We don’t assume you’ve had the words.

We start where you are.
With what your body already knows.
With what’s already inside your reach.

Because safety doesn’t begin with strategy.
It begins with inclusion.

IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS

Pretty Deadly Self Defense was created from the need for a basic, practical and efficient method of self defense for women. Not just for the big scary things we sometimes face, but also for the small things that are a part of our lives every day.

Pretty Deadly was designed specifically to make learning self defense easy, and easy to remember, so you know you can rely on the tools you have, and that they’ll work.

We do that by not just showing a technique, but explaining the little things that help transform a tiny move into a mighty one.

Because it’s the little things that can change your day.

Listen to your body. Follow your intuition. Where will it lead you?

It's vital that we begin to face up to what we've lost in this modern race for... whatever it is we think we're racing for. The past few years have been brutal and the future feels uncertain.

But what has become more and more clear is that when we are living with authenticity and passion, it empowers to act -- with confidence, with compassion, with community.

Pretty Deadly is a complete experience of essential self defense skills and strategies for women that can be used in everyday life.

We are more than just self defense. We give you the tools to build the future.

Not a word normally connected to learning self defense, right?

Pretty Deadly uses step-by-step self defense that works for every fitness level and adapts to movement restrictions, limitations and disabilities.

We build towards specific goals, rather than teach a random set of self defense techniques. Every class focuses on specific targeted exercises with a clear purpose and goal, so you can check off your progress as you grow.
