It was a glorious run with the @eastbayrisingsuns 2029B team from 6th grade spring to 9th grade fall. During those 3 years, Alex and Brian were founding members of a competitive squad that captured 17 out of 21 Asian tournament championships with a 93% winning percentage (59-4). Unfortunately, the team did not reform after everyone’s first high school basketball season ended…

Rather than stop participating in Asian ball, AB successfully tried out for the @sacrebels_2029boys. The @sacwarlords tournament was their first one wearing new red and white jerseys. Due to a Saturday soccer match in Napa, AB were only available on Sunday which happened to be the championship game against a familiar opponent, San Jose Ninjas.

First quarter 11-17

Halftime 16-24

Third quarter 33-31

Final 57-46 which earned another black t-shirt to their wardrobe

One game at a time going forward…

Basketball is more than just a game. As one team and one family, we come together in love and strength to mourn this heartbreaking loss of our brother, “Jaden DeJesus-Eves”.

We unite as one village - holding each other up, honor their memory, and move forward united. Condolences and prayers to Jaden’s beautiful mother, loved ones & friends, Sacramento Barons and Christian Brothers as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

Brother Love,
