Final touches before the shot

On Friday, June 26th 2026, I graduated from Bastyr University with my doctorate in naturopathic medicine and masters in counseling psychology.

I have known that this was my path since I was 15 years old and 11 years later I’m on the other side of it which is such a surreal feeling. I will continue to share my journey and am so grateful for everyone that has been a part of this experience and help make my dreams come true. I am so excited to share that I will be specializing in gut health and mental health and will be taking new patients starting the fall!

Officially, Dr. Britt ❤️🩺

Dr. Josi Kurtzer, ND

We made it!!! This has been the hardest and most rewarding journey of my life—crazy, empowering, deeply aligned, uncomfortable, and incredibly beautiful.

When I started at Bastyr 5 years ago I basically had no idea what I was getting into, and I could have never ever predicted how it would transform me and flip my world upside down.

It brought me closer to myself and my human-ness. Taught me how to connect to the deepest parts of myself and nature. How to quiet enough to listen to the body’s intelligence and connect to true healing through identifying root cause and practicing health medicine, not disease medicine.

It taught me humility. Surrounded by doctors/supervisors embodying true care and love for their patients. Showing us how to hold somebody through pain, discomfort, and confusion from not feeling safe in their own body. They selflessly set the standard through the way they practiced medicine, leading by example and showing us what it means to truly see another person. That has completely changed the way I move through the world.

It challenged me in ways that had me meeting the ends of myself over and over and over again. Medical school is absolutely no joke and the science and nutrition and botanical medicine and pharmacology was all hardcore, but deeper than the textbooks it taught me how to think like a doctor. It completely changed my brain and thinking process. It built confidence in my decision making and ability to connect with my heart to lead others back to themselves taking one step at a time towards true healing the best ways I know how.

I’m bursting with gratitude and love and honor. I can’t fully express the spectrum of things moving through me right now after we just conquered the final school boss, but I want to thank all of you that held me, encouraged me, supported me, and loved me through this process. I’m so excited to step into myself more fully as a doctor and healer and remind people what it feels like to be alive and connected and healthy and loved and supported as I join their team.

Ramble over I love u thanks for being here❤️

Apparently Jesus never made it past the age of 33, so when @zboucher, who carries the nickname Dirty Jesus, turned 34, it only made sense that his birthday dinner theme was: The Last Supper.. What Would Jesus Wear?

Needless to say, we went all out and ended up with this iconic photo.

Be blessed, you beautiful beings.

One of the more transformative months of my life. Grief and love braided together.

Helping our mom pack up our childhood home. Saying goodbye to our beloved Roxy. Supporting Sean through the biggest project of his life. Sitting with the roots of my indecision. Trusting in love, even when I don’t know where it’s taking me.

A depth of emotion I’m grateful to feel, and a reminder of the impermanence in this ever evolving life.

The ebb and the flow. Love you, my beautiful humans 😌
