Zachary Davis has always had an overactive imagination. Born in Atlanta, GA, he struggled to find an outlet for this energy until fourth grade, when he discovered community theatre and fell in love. Since then he has dedicated himself to the arts. An actor, writer, and singer, Zac believes that in our current political climate art is more important than ever. He has a deep fascination with history that makes its way into everything he does. He loves comedy and thinks that everyone should take themselves a little less seriously. Zac is currently entering his senior year at UF, pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. This fall he’ll be playing the Narrator in Into the Woods. Outside of rehearsals he plans to delve further into the world’s of standup, voice acting and improv!

Congratulations to the company of our final mainstage play of the 25/26 season, The Visit! From the subtle foreshadowing to intricate characters, this show was chilling, thought-provoking, and a phenomenal way to close out our season!🐝 When asked about his experience working on The Visit, first year MFA @mack_debernardo said the following: "I really enjoyed my time in The Visit! In my experience, UF is one of the most professional programs around. All aspects, from production to design to directing were top-notch. For my first show here, I was especially impressed with the sheer amount of talent within the program. Everyone here is handpicked and wonderful. I can’t wait to continue working with everyone in and outside of the program here in Gainesville." Taking a moment to celebrate our Musical Theatre students who were featured in this spring’s MainStage production of THE VISIT. It’s always exciting to see them working across both plays and musicals here in our School of Theatre+ Dance! By Friedrich Dürrenmatt Adapted by Maurice Valency Directed by Charlie Mitchell Costume Design: @stephensstuff Scenic Design: @kaydazey Lighting Design: @smoakdesigns Hair, Makeup & Wig Design: @jwaltzcostumedesign Sound Design: @mma.dyy Stage Manager: @lauren.w.rench Dramaturg: @leo.markos Logo design: @stephensstuff Promotional graphic for the University of Florida School of Theatre + Dance production of The Visit. Against a textured deep red background, large distressed gold lettering spells “THE VISIT” in the center. Four student performers in costume are arranged across the image: a young woman seated at a desk on the left, a young man in a tan suit holding a rifle, a seated older-character figure in vintage clothing at center-right, and another young man in a straw hat, red checkered shirt, and knee-high patterned socks standing on the far right. Stylized illustrated bees are scattered throughout the composition. The UF School of Theatre + Dance logo appears at the bottom center.
