First SKATE VLOG 🧀🌷❤️ Helemaal leuk!

Lowkey skate sesh, but so much fun! You don’t always need the coolest tricks, hyperfocus or big commitments. Sometimes just being a comfy trick repeater and rolling around is perfect 😌.

Vlogging was fun too, still getting the hang of it, but I’ll get there (so y’all have to get used to it). Did it in Dutch, not because my English is that bad, but just because it sounds bad. 👹

Looking back on 2024 I almost forgot how it started: I graduated and got published!!! Afterwards the rollercoaster started. 3 months of shows with @another_kindofblue flew by, taming the drones and developing the vr show in the meantime. Then, while I was teaching kids some programming, I also started to learn how to do lights and visuals. That brought me to crazy places: to lights @lagolagofestival, to working at @skatecafeamsterdam with the most varied and crazy shows like @ki.slash.ki ADE, @quique.efecto, @elmermuziek among others, to building a little lightshow for @zeevlinders, and suddenly doing the visuals at mainstage Pukkelpop for @merolmusic ?!!!

Also I tried to develop my artistic practice, for which I visited the @theatreinpalm in Portugal and @centraleuropedance in Budapest through residencies exploring the combination of tech and dance/theatre, and collaborating with the most interesting artists. And so cool: I exhibited some of my work at Sneek Stories, C3 fest and Nacht van Ontdekkingen!

This freelancing life has many ups and downs, but in the end I really enjoy every random job that I get and all the freedom and creativity that has filled my life this year. Not sure where next year will bring me, but I hope it will be even crazier.

Some thank yous:
- to work buddy @ridiculiseren for sharing all the chaotic moments of development, montage and touring, and all the good car talks from Maastricht to Belgium to Stadskanaal to Den Haag. 💃🏻
- to genius @jellestoffels for the patience of teaching me lights. 🔦
- to @melferdi for having me VJing at his shows and allowing me to try anything. ✨
- to @benzoezuur, creative partner in business and pleasure. 😉
- to @jeroenjt, the best assistant. ❤️‍🔥
