The World Cup season is a wrap. 🏁

Thank you, @cube.factoryracing.xc, for being a team that breathes as one. 🤝

We’re not a team where every day is just laughter, hugs and everything perfect. We work like a family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: disagreements happen, we resolve them openly, and we move forward together.

As a coach, I’m grateful to work in an environment where I can say what I think, and where others also question me, test me and put dilemmas in front of me. 💬 Some of the best decisions of this season came out of those conversations, in training, tactics and equipment. Progress comes from different perspectives. If we all always thought the same, we wouldn’t need a team. 🧠

The XCO and XCC World Cup is the most demanding racing environment in our sport. 🌍 The competition is relentless, the courses are tough, and there’s little time to recover. The season didn’t always go to plan. 📉 Our riders hit rock bottom at times, but they picked themselves up again. 📈 Together we looked for solutions, talked a lot and trusted each other. That trust was the key to coming back stronger every time. 🔑

What makes me happiest is that I got to watch up close as they grew from race to race. 🚵 Not only in results, but in confidence, in their decisions on course, and in how they bounce back after a bad day.

Thank you 🙏 to the riders for their trust, to the team manager for the leadership and support, to our chef 👨‍🍳 for the energy the riders got from every plate, and to the mechanics 🔧, physios 💆 and everyone behind the scenes for the hours nobody sees. I’m proud to be part of this team. Can’t wait for next season. 💪🔥

2026 Season done. 🫡

Lake Placid was the final stop of the World Cup and a pretty special way to close out the season. Fast racing and a great atmosphere in the Olympic venue.

There were definitely some ups and downs along the way this year. But that’s racing. We take the lessons, keep pushing and already have our eyes on 2027.

That’s the @uci_mtbworldseries wrapped up for the year 2026 at Lake Placid in 🇺🇸.
A great few weeks on the road with the team @cube.factoryracing.xc finishing the season off strongly 💪.
My first year on the other side of the tape at this level has flown by, and I couldn’t have asked for more than working with this fantastic group of talented individuals.
I’ve learnt so much and I continue the journey to strive to become a better coach.

Last World Cup of the season in Lake Placid. 🇺🇸

P27 in the end after getting caught up in a crash with another rider on the first lap. Struggled to find my rhythm again for a few laps but could move up in the second half of the race.

Not the best way to end this rollercoaster of a season, with some really high highs and some very low lows.

My first World Cup top 5, four World Cup top 20s and my first Swiss Championships medal 🥉 are definitely highlights. Also missed some big goals, but plenty to learn from.

Grateful for this season. Looking forward now.🤙🏼

A huge THANK YOU to the whole team for another incredible season. For all the hard work, support, trust, and all the moments we shared throughout the year.

There were ups and downs, tough races, great moments and plenty of lessons — but I’m grateful to have experienced it all together with such an amazing group of people.

Thank you for always giving your best and for believing in me. It’s a privilege to be part of this team.

Now it’s time to take a breath, enjoy the moment and recharge. 🙏

What a race by the young Dane at the final round. Definitely a fairytale ending to the season after missing two rounds and having to abandon another due to illness.

We can’t wait to see what a healthy 2027 has in store 🔥

Ending the 2026 season grateful and on a happy note🫶🏻. Both disciplines finished in P10 overall, which I truly see as a big achievement😮‍💨. I went into the season with a small wish for a podium, and I was really close a few times and that’s exactly why I’m sooo motivated for next season. To work on the small details that are still missing. So be ready for 2027.🦈🤝

I can’t be anything but satisfied with the whole year. It wasn’t easy: final exams, studying, traveling, training… all happening at once. And I’m the type who always wants more, who doesn’t want to just “be part” of a sport. So I accept that maybe this season wasn’t meant to be simple. But that’s part of it.
Next stop: university. A new chapter.

I’m sooo incredibly grateful for the people❤️ around me. My family, who support me no matter what. My friends, who give me conversations outside the cycling bubble. My @cube.factoryracing.xc team, who always make me feel safe and believed in. My teammates.
Best manager @marco_belotti65, who is always there when I need him🙏. And @spontanzo , who made sure I always felt seen in the media and part of something bigger💕.

Because honestly… in Slovenia we still don’t know how to support athletes. We know how to praise only “good” results, even if they come from the lowest-level races. But we don’t know how to create an environment where athletes feel safe, respected, and seen even when a season doesn’t go perfectly, or when it would require looking deeper into what an athlete is actually going through.

So don’t write that I had a bad season because I had one hell of a good one.😈🦈😘
