navigating 한 (han), this collection examines the intersection of grief, endurance, and womanhood within the histories of korean female laborers. referencing the podaegi and the haenyeo of jeju island, the garments trace the ways in which care, survival, and labor become inscribed onto the body.

expansive silhouettes and restrictive forms transform clothing into both burden and witness. pleats gather like accumulated memories; volume embodies the emotional weight of what remains unspoken. rather than depicting labor itself, the collection explores its aftermath: the inherited resilience, quiet sorrow, and unwavering perseverance encapsulated by han.

through contemporary dress, ancestral histories are reimagined as living legacies carried by the honorary korean women across generations.
