Let me reminisce one last time about the moments I shared with you, Pak…

During my first year back in Jakarta, Bapak was there for everything. He helped me move, cleaned my place, and even took me to the MRT every day during my first 2years working.
He always trying to showed up at every family event, whether from my mother’s side or my father’s side as the Besan who never missed anything in my family.

More importantly, he loved my boys with all his heart. He took them on little adventures; visiting aquarium shops, seeing qurban cows/goats, or simply riding around to find donat kampung and singkong. Because of him, those simple things became special memories for them.
He wasn’t just an Abah to my children. In ways words can’t fully explain, he filled the space left by a long-distance father figure while their father was fighting his own battles for us —his Son. He carried that responsibility with love and sincerity.

Hatur nuhun, Pak, for always having my husband’s and my back. For letting me taste how was it to experience ‘Mudik’ to Singaparna even just for once.
Rest in love ya, Pak. You were such a kind soul that over these past few days, so many people came to bid you farewell. It speaks volumes about the love and kindness you gave to everyone around you.

Your name will forever live in every story and every conversation we share. We promised that whenever we hear or speak your name, it will always be with tears in our eyes but never only from sorrow; also from the happiness and love of having known you🖤🥀
