Introducing... PRINCESS ELF BAR 👑

We’re beyond excited to welcome trance royalty and all around icon: @princess.elf.bar

Originally from Hull and now based in Manchester, Princess Elf Bar has become a staple at trance, techno and hyperpop parties across the country since starting DJing with Booty Shakin Bestiez in 2022. Her unique sets bounce seamlessly between trance, techno, ambient, bass, hyperpop and hardcore. Endlessly euphoric, high-energy, fun and clubby.

From regular appearances at the much-missed Wire Club in Leeds to The White Hotel, Glastonbury, Teletech and Boomtown, she’s built an impressive catalogue of performances. Her Maximum Euphoria mix was also picked up by Resident Advisor for their Mix of the Day series, described as an “unapologetically fun take on trance” 👾

Alongside a few other dedicated ambient trance lovers, she’s also helped pioneer the growing @leeds_ambient_trance_community, spending hours digging through SoundCloud for nostalgic trance, perfectly reverbed ambient tracks and bassy pop edits. She’s even ventured into producing her own Unrequited Love edits, emotional ambient trance remixes of well-known pop songs.

On Saturday, we get both sides Princess Elf Bar: taking on the Atrium with her euphoric, high-energy club sounds, while the community she’s helped build brings its ambient focus to our Pink Room takeover 🌸

OG OR MAN? Who knows? Who cares? He was somehow allowed to start this caper in lockdown and nobody’s found a way to stop him.

Playing pretty much any genre you can think of, from local grassroots to anyone anywhere in the world (and beyond), he says this is the best radio show in the galaxy.

But how can you trust a man who can’t even put a jumper on properly?

OG OR MAN - Music to put you in a right mood.

MBB is back where it all started. Expect grime, dubstep, baile funk, leftfield, perhaps drill, dub techno, or maybe even actual techno… who knows? But whatever it is, it’ll be bassy. Enjoy your Sunday before hell tomorrow - Zena xx

KHI-Ps corner, is back with a special one, we’ve got Benwa and Skot3ree in the building discussing their new project that will be releasing in the coming weeks, Benwa has also provided us with some sneaky unreleased songs within a mix of songs produced by non other than himself. 14:00-15:00 MBB

15:00-17:00 OG OR MAN
Goodbye Dolly (Parton) – bet no one else has thought of that one yeah?

No doubt better people than I (yeah, I know there’s loads of them, thanks) will do full justice to the big-haired, big-nailed, big everything serial hitmaker, film star, businesswoman and philanthropist, but in the month of Manchester Psych Fest…

..this show leans inevitably into psych. From loads of artists who played psych fest and some who didn’t, plus some pop a la mode, early electronica and Victorian literature (in the same track), weird drone from a cave in Essex

And one track by Dolly. And none by Angine de Poitrine, because I’d have to make you queue 2 hours to listen to it. Only fair to the many benighted Psych Fest attendees who had to do just that.

17:00-19:00 No Pop No Style w/ Keith Marley
NoPopNoStyle takes a deep dive into Keith Marley’s vinyl collection. Broadcasting from New Brighton on the Irish Sea Coast, expect anything from deep house, afro, arabelectro, dub, reggae, jungle, triphop, hiphop, dancehall and anything else from the outer stratosphere of electronica.

HIDDEN X GREAT DANES: DJ SWISHA CURATES — FRIDAY 23RD OCTOBER.

We’re linking up with @greatsdanesmcr to welcome New York’s @djswisha to Hidden, bringing with him a full lineup curated around the fast, bass-heavy and genre-fluid sounds that have shaped his own journey through club music.

Born in Philadelphia, raised in Los Angeles and now based in New York, DJ Swisha’s productions move between footwork, juke, electro, techno and high-energy club sounds. Driven by chopped vocals, restless percussion and serious low-end, his music pulls together influences from across the US underground without ever staying in one place for too long.

Fellow New Yorker @kush_jones_ and London-based @reni_ldn who’s fresh off the back of playing Draaimolen Festival last weekend, completes the headline trio.

Limited early bird tickets are now live on Skiddle & RA 🎟️
