Yesterday at @zerospacelabs , we got to speak at the NYC Creative AI Forum and demo what we’ve been building with CTE.

The room reminded me why I love doing this.

Not because people are impressed by AI.
Because you can actually see the moment when something clicks.

Most AI films today are still made like this:
write a prompt,
generate a clip,
generate another clip,
try to make them match,
then somehow stitch everything together.

That can make beautiful shots.
But it does not automatically make a story.

A story needs memory.
It needs characters that remain themselves.
It needs a world that behaves consistently.
It needs structure, rhythm, blocking, mood, and intent.

That is the problem we are solving with CTE.

We are building a storytelling engine.
Not just another AI video tool.

A system where you can start with a world, a character, a scene, or a template — and move beyond prompting.

Because prompting is powerful, but it is also limited by your vocabulary.
Most people have a visual idea in their head that they do not yet have the language to describe.

So the next creative interface cannot just be a text box.
It has to help you think.

Yesterday, we showed our updated world-building platform and template system: a way for anyone to start with structure, then customize the world, characters, shots, and style from there.

That is the future I’m excited about.
AI should not make people less creative.
It should help them find their way back to the part of themselves that wanted to create in the first place.

Grateful to everyone who came up after the talk, asked questions, challenged the idea, and shared what clicked for them.

I’m opening up a few private demos and workshops for founders, filmmakers, agencies, universities, and creative teams who want to understand how AI-native storytelling actually works beyond prompting.

If you’re building in film, media, advertising, education, or the creator economy and want to see how cinematic simulation can fit into your workflow, message me.

Happy to show you what we’re building.

This weekend, I debuted my thesis project to an audience of hundreds at @zerospacelabs. Special thanks to @datlabnyc for selecting “Boxels” to be featured alongside presentations by other creative technologists and artists. Looking forward to the next opportunity to share my work.

“Boxels are a modular display technology of articulating units. They can adapt media at any scale with new dimensionality.

But Boxels are more than a screen. By adding an additional dimension, Boxels not only invite deeper engagement with material reality, they enrich it.

Boxels recall the prehistoric hearth as a site of gathering, exchange, and cultural formation. At a time when we increasingly need to be reminded to be with one another, they give media physical presence and, in turn, reinforce the value of presence itself.”
