SCARLET TURNIPS ARE HERE

Salt-roasted scarlet turnips served with pipián verde, frisée, lemon, & cilantro. These beautiful turnips were grown for us by @shadybfarms .

This dish was inspired by a love of pipián verde, a pumpkin seed based sauce that originiated during pre-hispanic times in central and southern Mexico.

Vegetables deserve love too.

I believe that most places and spaces are best explored through the senses - this time, we’re bringing the wine region of Slovenia to life through the experience of watercolor + wine.

On Wednesday, October 21st, I’m co-hosting an evening at Zero Zero with watercolor artist Caroline Ginn @gumptionwatercolors , where we’ll bring together the beautiful worlds of watercolor painting and Slovenian wine.

Caroline will guide you through the creative process of watercolor painting your very own wine map of Slovenia, while I’ll take you on a sensory journey through beautiful wines from three different Slovenian wine regions.

We’ll explore the unique character of each region, its soils, climate, and indigenous grape varieties, discovering how nature, farming practices and traditional approaches shape the wines in our glasses, all while letting our creativity flow onto paper.

Wednesday, October 21st
@zerozeroknox
7-9pm

Wine tasting will be available as an optional add-on for purchase at the event.

To reserve your spot, visit the link in my BIO.

I’m so looking forward to sharing a little piece of my beautiful homeland with you this evening ✨

OUR OFRENDA IS GROWING ❤️

Gracias to everyone who's shared the memory of their loved one with us. It means a lot to see our community come together to celebrate those we miss dearly, and who deserve to be remembered with as much love and care as when they were physically with us.

We still have room! The ofrenda will be up until November 3rd. We welcome you to add pictures of people, pets, or even items in rememberence of your loved ones.
