We’re discussing & celebrating ‘Stories of Resilience’ at The Sui Store (100 Duxton Road, Singapore) | 3 October, 10am - 12pm — tickets are available in the link in our bio.

Resilience is a powerful word, hidden within it are stories of strength, of heartbreak, of adaptation, etched into one.

When you attach the word resilience to a woman, you often catch yourself in awe, wondering amidst all her life’s challenges how she still rises with the learnings as a guiding light.

2 women that come to my mind when I think of resilience are: Thammika and Susannah — they have uniquely different journeys, but a shared strength that has inspired me over the many conversations I’ve had with them.

Stamford Hospital, Thammika’s first novel, left me sitting with my feelings, validated and lost at the same time. There’s many parts of motherhood we don’t share with others and Thammika beautifully wrote about the hardest parts of them. On the days I struggle with mom guilt, I think of Tarisa and her story.

Susannah has been pillar for Sui through the early days. I’ve watched her evolve through seasons while she continued to stand by her mission of supporting local, sustainable brands. As she transitions to an evolved chapter in her life, her story is one to learn from too.

On 3rd October - hear from them and stand a chance to leave with learnings etched into resilience.
