POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

9 years ago I found out I was pregnant and something shifted in me spiritually that I couldn’t ignore 🖤

I knew I was bringing a little girl into the world, and I had to ask myself: who do I want her to see when she looks at me?

My locs were the first outward expression of that answer. The first time I chose myself out loud. No more shrinking, no more performing. Just me, fully and unapologetically.

I wanted to model for her what it looks like to be authentic. To honor who God made you. To trust your own path even when it doesn’t look like everyone else’s.

She’s been watching this whole journey. I pray she grows up knowing she never has to be anything other than exactly who she is. 🌱
