I knew I’d have to show up on the red carpet in full Jamaican fashion fierceness so I pulled for Jamaican queen of fashion glamour @keneealintondesigns for this stunning dress 💃🏻.

The massive crowd that converged on Palm Drive, Hope Gardens, last Saturday for The Lost In Time Festival erupted into a frenzy when rumours of guest appearances proved true, as Protoje - the mastermind behind the festival - invited artistes Sevana, Aidonia, Popcaan, Kymani Marley, and Chronixx onstage for a finale performance.

The moment was the icing on the cake for fans who were earlier treated to performances by Naomi Cowan, Jaz Elise, Yaadcore, Ras-I, Tessellated, Mortimer, Samory I, Jesse Royal, and Lila Iké.

Zia, Flowerchild & I sat jamming with a quite brilliant journalist a couple of nights ago @geejamhotel . The kind of conversation we relish. Real.
“So all three of you were shaped by grief” he remarked. And we were taken aback.

For the thread that bound us and unquestionably turbo-charged the depth of recognition and connection, hadn’t until that moment occurred.
We will all be touched by loss. Whether it’s a person, a relationship a loss of innocence, childhood nurture or otherwise.
And then for some, life delivers experiences so dissembling that they catapult you into unfolding. They destroy who you were, simultaneously birthing who you are. And that’s what I call the ‘Ferrari to truth.’

Not a luxury ride but an accelerated journey back to the core.
A ride which shortcuts the meander and strips you. Delivering you straight into confrontation with your essence.
You recognise instantly those who’ve ridden in the passenger’s seat. Varied circumstance, same destination....
✨
A rebirth born not automatically from the tumultuous ride, but of the willing to surrender to it. The courage to be with your own pain.
For the gracious gift of knowing your own darkness, is a blown open capacity to experience and be love, of an equal magnitude.
For as deep down and far away from the light as we have been, is only illustrative of the heights of equal proportion to which we can soar.
And when life places these beings on your path to journey with, you need not have known them for any significant length of time as your soul instantly knows theirs. And other superficial details become superfluous.

For those connections are the most profound and blessed mirror. Time spent in their presence ensuring we can’t ever forget for too long, the beautiful truth of who we are. And only love and a silent honour for every kilometre of the journey resounds.💚
